Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
I feel guilty for treating my ex like shit. I mean, since she has joined the Army, everyone she knows has turned their backs on her. I was rude, bitter, and sour over the holidays when she visited.
Am I wrong to feel guilty? I broke up with her and have no intentions of getting back with her.

Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
well, cannon, just becuase you broke up with her, it doesn't mean you should treat her bad. I don't know the full story, but if you feel she is the kind of person that deserves to be treated nicely, then be that kind of person. You being nice to her shouldn't have any bearing on rekindling a relationship, it's just good manners.
Hope that breaks up the confusion for you. Good luck!

Nothing if the girl's mature enough. I know this freshman(at least I think she is, she's almost 15) who's more mature than most girls my age, she also doesn't like #### music, which is more rare than a mature 14 year old.

Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
Theres only a year's difference with me and her, but surprisingly she is at least a hundred times smarter, hotter, more mature and social than me. I also can't help the fact shes a year younger than myself because I've never dated anyone younger than me. Sometimes I wonder how she ended up with me

Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
I liked my best friend. for 2 years I kept quiet about it doing everything I could to make her happy. I told her I liked her and she wasn't interested. We're still friends but it seems like everyone is slowly pulling the word "girlfriend" and "boyfriend" apart.
It is one word. not Girl friend or boy friend.
The world seems to slowly be pulling the friend part off and just having "girl" and "boy"
You wonder why the divorce rate is high. I believe you should love your bestfriend, like you love your family or your dog.
A lot more relationships are fake materialistic lies that go against everything I thought was love.

Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
Yeah, I totally agree. People aren't really loving like they used to, the way I see it is that when I really like someone I like them for everything they are. Not just because they're hot, or rich, or poplar, or whatever the hell people are attracted to involving sex, cash or A-list statuses, but we all know sexuality will always be there. I also believe all relationships should be mutual, maybe not at our age, but when people are serious about who they love, they should not be pulling their lover's weight and their lover should not be pulling theirs.
Just my two cents. I should stop preaching before I post a link to my book.
But hey, I'm just a kid who's parents are happily divorced.

All things being equal, women are always smarter and more mature for their age, cradle to grave. Hotter, though? That's where the trouble starts.

Geez, what did I write? I ****ing love this girl, best relationship I've ever been in and I've screwed up a lot of them at this point. Two years in April. I must have come on here drunk when she was acting up for a week or two. But (sober) that's her right: we've both been through so much shite (both divorced within the last few years) that we give each other massive leeway. I'd actually be fine if she went off the reservation to process whatever she needs to process from her marriage, because she'd come back (first girl I've ever trusted) and be ever more into us. And she's that patient with me (though I haven't tested it very far). Hotter than a vindaloo. Still makes me coffee every morning. Loves strip clubs. Plus she's like a mother to my children. Keeping her!

I broke up with my ex wife after 15 years--sophomore year of college to when I was like 35. You'll feel all sorts of stuff for a long time. But if it's the right thing to do it's the right thing to do. See above.

Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
fair enough archy, yeah you were ranting a little...those moments happen, you know? i just saw a couple and went "trend!" and assumed. you know how the internet is. i'm glad it's actually really good for you. trust is such a huge thing.
i see a lot of posts on here that, in my mind, would have a no-brainer solution. there's serious trust issues in the world today, it's just sickening. i got bit by it too, when i thought i never would...stabbed in the back, you know? (those of you who've cared to followed my story way back do...) so it's tough. being jaded has been a good thing for me tho...keep my head above the fray

Re: Relationship problems... ANYTHING GOES!
Anyone else not getting any lately ever since the weather has gotten cold??? I've been with my girl for 4 years now and while we've had dry spells before, this one happened as soon as it got stupid cold up here in the north east in early December. All things considered, after I was about 2 years in I had learned not to expect to get it when I wanted it and to just take it whenever it was available, but when I hit the month mark I always start to get pissed off and other chicks become way hotter than they really are.
Girls wonder why we cheat on them all the time and it's so easy to blame the guy but it really is a two way street, I wish they could get that through their thick heads!
That being said, I would never cheat on her but the temptation to gets so much worse when they act like this, can I get an amen?
