Alright, I need your help.

Remember that woman, that I have talked about, that I am in love with, and she just doesn't know what she wants right now? well, she is starting to scare me a little.

She quit her job this week, and since then, she has been drinking, a lot, with one of her "friends" (I hate the b1tch, because she brings laura down, but whatever) She knows that she is going on a rampage, and acting super wild, but she doesn't want to stop. She says that she is in a rut, and she will be ok, but I am super worried for her. What the hell do I do in this situation? I can't just get her out of my life, because of how I feel about her, but at the same time, she is poisoning her life, and I can't stand just sitting by and watching it happen. My biggest fear is my feeling of helplessness. How do I help someone that refuses to let me in?

oh man, you have no idea how well i know your pain...i only wish there was a simple answer or something i could tell you that would solve things, but there's not. someone who is doing that kind of thing--knows it's wrong but doesn't want to stop--is not going to listen to you, no matter how much you love or care for them. i have been there. it sucks balls, because the only thing to really do is let them figure things out for themselves. pain is a good teacher...a terrible one to watch at work, but it's effective. i've learned the hard way quite a bit in my life, so i know that she will learn. it's just the pits watching someone you care deeply for learn that way...you'll always be able to see it coming from the outside

I definitely agree with what you guys are saying ,but it sucks! Trying to cover my eyes is like telling someone not to breathe. I will try though. It's through everyone here on the fish, and my skating that have been helping me the most through all of this, so I just want to say thanks! I know a lot about relationships, and I can give other people great advice, but when it comes to my own "love life" I am horrible at it! go figure.

yeah, it's equivalent in its agony...you have to tho, for your own sanity, and for the sake of the other person. you'll only push them away if you keep trying. and if you want them to come back to you when they realize the error of their ways/pay for it, then you need to leave them to their own path, and leave on good terms. that's where i screwed up, and now even if she sees that what she's been doing isn't any good for her own self, it won't be me she comes to on the other side...

So.. this is kind of a stupid problem, but...
I have the most amazing girlfriend ever. We get along, like the same things, and we've known each other for most of our lives. Problem is, I met this other girl at a school a few years ago, and ever since then she won't leave me alone.

I first met her in 3rd grade, and we were buddies. yaay.
Later in life, she moved back to my town, and decided she really liked me. Normally i'd pull the 'lets just be friends' thing, but I've gotten myself into a pickle... My problem is, I have severe sleep disorders, bad enough that I have to be locked in my room or I'll leave the house and go talk to people.

The problem was that she started texting me one night, and I fell asleep, but I kept texting her in my sleep. (I know this sounds fake, which is part of the problem.) According to my sent messages, I told her I was madly in love with her, and now ... well, she keeps coming by my house, asking me to go with her places, and I don't know how to tell her that I don't like her. I mean, how the $hit am I supposed to tell her that I texted her in my sleep? She'll never believe me...

Anyway, if anyone's got any ideas of how to tell her without hurting her feelings too bad, (she is my friend), let me know. Otherwise, I'll do it the hard way, which is going to suck, but I've already found the woman of my dreams.

Thanks... sorry to bother... If something like this ever happens to me again while i'm sleeping, i'm going to start knocking myself out with a baseball bat every night.

yeah, I think I accomplished that this weekend. I saw her at the bar, and instead of just leaving, I let my friends get me blasted drunk. It hurt just to see her there, but I tried to look like I was at least having fun. So I started dancing with friends, and hanging out, but I blacked out at the end of the night, and I guess I called her and left some mean voicemails, but I don't know what I said. All I know is that the text messages I read from her in the morning, were absolutely horrid, and she told me never to text or talk to her again... She won't even tell me what I said! Time to move on... Thanks for listening though!
