So, I was doing really well about getting over my ex. I had dropped some of her stuff off at her house, and I was finally moving on with my life, when I got a call at 2:28 this morning. She was drunk and crying hysterically, saying she really needed me to come pick her up because she was walking away from this persons house because she was afraid they were going to take advantage of her ( i know the people she is refering to, and it's a legitimate claim). Her "friend,"wanted to get some D!ck, and started screaming at my ex when she said she didn't want to go. So I went and picked her up ( I wouldn't leave anyone in a situation like that) and she said she didn't want to go home, and asked if she could stay at my house.... UUUGGHHH! Just when I was getting over it all. She then told me how I was right about everything, and how she messed everything up being stubborn, and how she was sorry for it. WHAT THE HELL?! I dont know what to do because i know it will happen again, but i dont think i have the strength to tell her no, because of how much i love her.... STUPID emotions!!! and yes... im dumb and and let her stay in my bed. I woke up this morning and got ready for work, and left her there because she has no ride now.. and i didn't have time to take her back home.... suggestions?

I would love to get back together with her, if I could be certain it wouldn't happen again, but my heart can't take another hit like this, especially this soon.

And yes, it's because when you are with someone, other women see you as a desireable man. i.e. "obviously he has got something that I am looking for, because that woman is with him right now". whereas when you are single women tend to ask themselves,"whats wrong with this guy? there must be something wrong if he is by himself". It's a bullshit thought process that only women can justify for themselves

The grass is ALWAYS greener.

She wants to be a wild/crazy person and learn about life. You should do the same, trust me.

I know you probably want nothing more than to be with her and be as happy/satisfied as when you first got together. Unfortunately, it probably wont happen, either because of you or her. There's still much learning to be done.


Chalk this one up to being a stand-up guy (props BTW) and move past it. Nothing says you can't ever talk to or be friendly with her again but she needs to know what she wants and doesn't want before either of you can be happy in a relationship.
She likes the person that you are she just doesn't know if she wants it and that's the problem.



This is one of those 'mind-fuck' moments. It'll make sense later.

That is not to say that people don't make mistakes and deserve forgiveness.


At this point, you owe it to yourself to decide whether or not she's serious about the relationship or just following convenience.

Forget about her for a second. What do YOU want to do? Do you want to spend the rest of you life with this GIRL? Do YOU want to experience other people and relationships?
If the answer is yes(even just a little), drop this girl like a bad habit and move on.

These things aren't easy to deal with but you need to be HONEST with her and yourself to keep this from developing into a mentally unhealthy situation.

I'd say the worst thing you could do would be to 'take' her back without making her sweat it out and think about things. She needs to understand that you're there for HER, not her whims or fancies.


I'd say that if you thought this might EVER happen again then the answer is an affirmative NO.
