Its going to be a skate across nz but with a bus that takes you to the top of all of the epic hills and gets rid of all that pesky pushing .....

We are still to lock down how much its going to cost each rider but what we want to offer is a total package for a week, your food, your transport and an assortment of hills, corners, runs, bombs and general sh*t your pants goodness that you just wont find any where else in the world!

I keep trying to tell people how good an idea this would be since i used to live in nz, sounds fun, wish i could join.

bummer, head over before or after any way cause nz hills have to be ridden to be believed! I plan on buying a van this summer and taking lots of roadys up and down the north island for surf and speedboarding too.

i might just do that depending on how much cash i have left after newtons. i wouldnt mind just coming for half of the trip in NZ. otherwise, i'll just work through the summer and head over sometime in march/april.

heard NZ has some kick ass hills

Depending on the weather we pass back through Auckland on day 3 or 4 so it is possible to do half the tour and be able to get back to Aus in time.

i'm actually very tempted to skip newtons for this. since i'm not even sure if i'll be heading to newtons (still gotta wait for my uni exam schedule to come out). if you can give a confirmed date on when we'll be passing by to auckland i'll definitely sign up for it!

btw, how good do you have to be to tackle these hills? only started getting into dh 6 months ago and melbourne doesn't exactly have alot of good hills to practice on.

I would say approximately the 5th or 6th of December we would pass back through Auckland.
Sorry its pretty vague but it will be weather dependent if we go North or South of Auckland first and I'm still hunting for new hills daily.
There will be a mixture of difficulty's and skill needed depending on the location.
Some spots are fast but will have long corners and some are fast and technical corners.
The urban riding spots will be more tech (drifting spots etc) but not as fast as the mountains.
If you can control your speed (speed checks, sliding and foot-braking) you should be able to hit most of the hills at a speed you are comfortable with.
