Adelaide/SA, Australia. Longboard locations.
Hey, just wondering does anyone here Longboard in Adelaide, South Australia? (Or somewhere near-by).
I'm fairly new to Longboarding and my friends and I are looking for some good spots to board. I'm interested in any type: A good downhill run, parking garages, or just an awesome place in general.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Check out ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

BHC, Brownhill Creek is a nice mellow spot.
But yeah as guitarchick says,... join us on ASRA. We have weekly rides.
This is one section of BHC.

Re: Adelaide/SA, Australia. Longboard locations.
Thanks guys for the suggestions. And thanks leadfoot for the BHC suggestion i'll def check it out.
Any other suggestions would be great. Also, does anyone know of a nice long/not-too-steep/mellow DH run? Coz i'm from the Adelaide Hills and there it's all steep and short - not much fun.
Thanks again.

Re: Adelaide/SA, Australia. Longboard locations.
We were at BHC today,... it was great fun. Join us on ASRA Jim,... come out and skate with us on a Sunday. We have guys around your age. Today we were at BHC and a bunch of other spots.
You might also like to meet up with us for a garage sesh. Not super fast,... but at least traffic free and great fun with a couple of people.
Steep and short is good,.... not so far to walk up. Long runs need a car,... and mostly you are dicing with traffic.
Linden Ave Hazelwood park is a good suburban spot to look at.
Watch out tho,... you can it around 50-60kph.

Re: Adelaide/SA, Australia. Longboard locations.
I am heading down under from december to march. I fly into sydney, and have yet to determine which direction i head from there, but my goal is to meet up with as many longboarders as possible while out there. I am not much of a downhill speed freak, having been schooled in the push culture of new york city, but am trying to see as much oif the city, bush and beach as i can. I plan on updating my blog, The Brooklyn Barbarosa as much as possible, and help spread the international stoke. if anyone has any suggestions, or a couch i could crash on in the next few months, hit me up
J. Hayes
i have reached out to the ASRA as well and recieved a warm welcome, but any other longboard shops or events, especially city races or sessions, i am down to rip

hey bro
mount barker has some sick new estates with some great smooth hills
usually hit it up with mates around midnight theres no traffic and its well lit
also opposite adelaide uni theres a huge parking garage thats the best i've been down oh and nother opposite unisa
a good roll along the torrens is sick it can get hilly yet smooth

Re: Adelaide/SA, Australia. Longboard locations.
anywhere in the foothills is good. just catch the bus up then skate around till you find some hills. Around morialta rd is good (rostrever has some new smooth roads) and everywhere else.

Re: Adelaide/SA, Australia. Longboard locations.
Hey guys,
I've only been in Adelaide for the past year and a half and have only been skating for the past 2 weeks. I'd never skated before the start of the holidays. All that adds up to me not knowing anything about the sport. However, I can say I've truly enjoyed cruising the torrens and just getting around the city in general. When I get my confidence up I look forward to checking out some big hills. One step at a time. Probably see you all around.

Mate you should go down to Blackwood Park, as there is a ton of smooth roads and some nice hills that run onto some good flats.
Happy Longboarding
