Re: The Kiwi Thread (and no, not the fruit)
Hey Brad From Hastings, just got my first board about two months ago for $70 brand spanking cant beat that had abec1's put some bones in that went down hilling in a village called havelock north just out of town, second time out down hilling foe me we decided to try some bigger hills went down a street called Simler Ave clocked myself at 45 with a mate following me rek'in we could hit over 50 with a longer run up I did a rolling start with when I got 45, didn't have a Skid lid so was a bit sketchy gunna invest in some gear before I try it all again I think. Know a guy who cant hardly walk or pick things up after a skating accident. Great fun however thought Id tell the fellow kiwis and that I wish I started skating young (I'm 23) the adventures I have missed.

Re: The Kiwi Thread (and no, not the fruit)
How's it going?! I recently moved out to NZ from cali and I'm trying to get a good feel for the local scene...figure out where some good rides are...I'm located in flat ass Blenheim at the moment but i'm always down to get out for an adventure some place else on the weekends. If there is anyone close to Blenheim/Nelson let me know and we'll bomb some hills!
Also, if people can give me a good idea where in the country is best that would be awesome. I figure auckland must be alright...Nelson is also supposed to be pretty good...where else? Anyway, stoked to be in this awesome country and ready to get riding.

Re: The Kiwi Thread (and no, not the fruit)
Hey guys,
I live in Rothesay Bay, Auckland, but do most of my longboarding in Albany and Pinehill. I recognised most of the places in that video.
I'm pretty new to longboarding, I've only been doing it for about a month.
Just thought I'd make myself known

Re: The Kiwi Thread (and no, not the fruit)
I might be heading off to Taupo this Sunday the 9th maybe, if anyone can let me know some good hills to bomb that would be awesome I hear there are some good sub divisions round there? Or if anyone wants to go for a skate and meet up that would be cool also.
Hawke's Bay, I bombed Kent terrace the other day, there's a steep street off to the side part way up get some speed not fast hit 45kmph, need a watcher on the corner though, best carving hill I found so far is up by the water tanks in Havelock North dead end stree would be nice to bomb but I cant slide for crap yet and subsequently will end up in the neighbors lounge, Hikanui Drive its called, also Rochfort Road (aka Rochfort Sub division has a good hill I haven't done it but mates did last week. Shakespeare Road dropping in from Sealy Road and head up Cobden turn around and head back down Cobden up from whence you came...less walking also one I haven't done but mates did at 2am a few months back apparently fun. Id be keen to go skating with any Hawke's bay people just PM me and we can organise a time
