Hey Noc its not here yet.... but will be set up pretty much like yours except bones reds I was thinking of putting the Randall DH truck up front but I think the 180mm R11 hanger would be more stable maybe? anyhow I had probs ordering from landyachtz with a
$100 US postal fee on top so time wasted there and then I went to mile high skates but Mike said he didnt ship outsde the US more time wasted sooo... I have a friend in San Fransisco who is going to send one soon I hope arrhh! I cant wait any longer. there are ment to be some coming on trade me soon but who know when,
Did you get the maple or the black deck? I couldnt find anyone here saleing them.
Yeah shipping is always a bummer when it comes to buying new gear... even something as simple as bushings can be such a pain to get sent quickly.
I'm finding the 180s fine on the front and back of my evo - and because its been wedged/dewedged at the front and back there was no need to flip the hangers. I'm riding the trucks pretty loose now, although it took a bit of riding with them a little tighter to build up confidence... and even at 50/60 kmph they're super stable. My brother has a set of Randal downhills on his Landyachtz Urban Assault, but personally I prefer the feel of the 180s.
I got the maple leaf deck - off trademe (humbleches sells them - but i think he has sold out as my mates all hopped on the longboarding bandwagon and bought off him too), I can't remember how much I payed for it though.
Oh, and if you're ever looking to import stuff from the states, check out thelongboardstore.com (they have pretty reasonable shipping, and very quick service) and on eBay, there's a seller by the name of TGM_Skateboards who do a few good deals including Randal 180s, Gumballs and Abec 7 bearings for about NZ$150 including shipping!
You gotta tell us how it rides!!
Im thinking about getting a shorter longboard (lords of dogtown style) but i dont know what kind, or where to get it.
Any ideas?
I was having a look on trademe and came across 29" Stacy Peralta Warp 2. I looks like it might be what your looking for its a re issue of a model from the 70's. You can buy either the deck or a complete and the prices aren't to bad. The links below:

www.bestboards.co.nz is a good place to buy gear, i have bought a few sets of wheels from it. The main problem is that they dont have different duro of their wheels cus i want to get a set of 84a or 88a gummis but they only got 78a.
thats right kooky... everyone show us your boards!
oh, and boomboy - i got the pigme off trademe for $160, i wanted it purely to have as a smaller board for uni and around town (i was sick of carrying my larger ones round lectures)... it rides really nice, very maneuverable, but due to it being quite thin it feels like it might snap at any moment... i think if i was going to buy another mini, i'd get the 27 just cos it has a little more space than the pigme. my feet only just fit on. i think the 27 has a slightly more prominent kick tail too... not too sure though... either way, small boards are heaps of fun, so try find someone with one of the sizes you're after and give it a go. yeah, it really comes down to personal preference really.
made a vlam deck pug nose and stinger tail..
god i suck at wood work but it was fun
now just drill and set up got some 180 randall's and maybe a set of retros from best boards.

YOWEEEEE!! that's one tidy looking deck! i'd almost not want to ride it and just hang it on a wall... which would totally defeat the real reason for making it i suppose!
Great thread guys.
Sorry, but Im not a Kiwi.
Great handbuilt boards you guys.
And Hobo, dont ever say you suck at woodwork while showing a picture of a classic work of art like THAT.
