That is so cool guys. let us know when we can sign up or if there is anything we can do to help.

For prizes I've ordered in a variety of Lucky bearings and a few skate tools. My supplier has also thrown in some stocking fillers (stickers, curb wax(?), key rings).
thats great. ill bet you wont be last if you joined the P2P race. anyway, im looking forward to it. the weather is meant to be cloudy which is good so its not too hot. there are chances of drizzles so keep fingers crossed that weather holds up.

i have a couple of mates that might come down on saturday. if any of you are here before 4 pm, we can chill at my place till the race. otherwise we can meet in newton st in front of KFC. now depending on the wind, we might have to reverse the course (start will be the finish and vice versa). will post final notices tomorrow evening.

my address is 31 mamaku rise, welcome bay. heaps of hills around so plenty to do before the race.

I'm trying to resist but the the geek in me is too strong.... is that Drupal in the background, and where are you hosting it. Damn good idea by the way.

Yep, it runs on drupal, which I've never used before but seems to be doing a good job with a plugin written for every feature needed.
Haven't got a final host location sorted yet, Lorenzo of skurfboards.com has let me host it on his account for now, will hopefully be able to leave it there.

Righto, as I'm still here at Nacho's I thought I'd be the first to get on here. Thanks to everyone who turned up, it was a pleasure to be at the 1st ever NZ long distance skateboarding race (can't really call it longboarding with someone riding a humu)
Thanks to Nacho for hosting and organising; the bombadier crew, sugar boards, the welly boys and girls and everyone else.
The weather was perfect, the roads were quiet and everyone managed to finish the race. I think eveyone is with me on this when I write that 'The Big Ginge' himself, Josh, has to take Slam of The Weekend. Mate, you are a trooper to get up from that (even if you don't actually remember getting up) Was good to get you skating again this morning.

I have got the best of Mine, Julia's and Nacho's photos up for your browsing here

Click the image to open in full size.

once again, thanks to everyone involved. I can pretty much say I won't be at the next one... my money's on Josh!

hey, it was my pleasure having such great people stay with us. we really appreciate it. the event would be nothing without you guys.

jestah, joe, richard, tyler and renee, you guys driving from welly just to join the event is real cool:. it also shows the true spirit of skating. we will see you sometime soon. jestah, thanks for helping out ross get to the finish line. that really did it for him. hes never really skated before.

billy, josh and mark - i was thinking of coming down to hamilton to shoot some skate vids with you guys. hope your feeling invincible again josh. thanks to marks family for showing a lot of support. that was real nice.

man those sugar boards are sweet. thanks for bringing the family along too. it was so cool to have people cheering the skaters on. im also impressed with your little bros board. good job guys. we should also catch up to shoot skate vids sometime.

thanks to dave, the only aucklander to make it he won a small prize just for that.

Mark and Ross, the only locals who showed up. and the best thing about it, ross finished the race despite not having a lot of skating experience. hope the cap fits well.

really looking forward to the next one.

Thanks heaps for everything Nachot, it was great despite the accident. Sorry we weren't able to take part in it in quite the way we imagined. It would be great if you could come across one day. It'll give us the opportunity to show you some hospitality in return.

It was great to meet some of the other guys who contribute so much to the skate scene, and sorry we missed the rest of you.

Anyway, till next time, keep well.
