We could always try and get one of the smaller car parks onboard and say that people will pay the normal rates for parking in return for not being able to skate unbothered. So long there is no risk to other people of course. Although they might have some liability issues with insurance and whatnot.

i thought you were going to KI dani. I went to do some cornering today wit bowditch, so i would have asked u to come if i'd known u were still in town. it was a pretty good session. we found an awesome spot up in stonyfell. its up near the entrance to some quarry or something. so it was full of trucks and stuff, but i'm sure on sundays it would be pretty quiet.
we also checked out some of the suburban streets and came across a nice hill. bowditch nearly killed himself on it. we competely miss judged the speed of it and because he lacks confidence in mongo footbraking he had to enter the T section at top speed (about 40). if there was a car coming the opposite way on the road he drifted onto, it wouldn't have been as funny as it was.

saturday morning DH sesh anyone? i know leady and nicko are keen.

Oh and im organising an outlaw race soon... probably in the next two weeks

Just scouting the right spot at teh moment... Oh and it'll have to be about 50 km/h max so people dont HAVE to have leathers.

It'll be fun nonetheless

yewwwww!! me and benny and dion had the sickest longboarding sessions last night and thursday night. we just hit up the willunga main street. thursday was pretty epic but last night was friggin sweeeeet! started at about 8:30pm and ended at about 12:30. just started the night off with a few chilled out carving runs (didn't want to go too hard cos there was a few cars around) but later when it had died down a bit we were getting some fair speed down there. averaged about 50kmh. its the sickest road for it. hell smooth and wide.
the funniest thing though, there were heaps of crew at the top pub and we had a huge crowd watching us go past cheering and stuff. then they got us to have a race and i won ten bucks! woooo!! then they were all placing bets on us! hahahaha. it was classic. they were frothing off our boards and stuff.
later in the night we also tried out towing behind the car back up the hill. THAT is worth it!! so much fun. we had two ropes so we could tow two at a time. good fun!
me and benny also put little led lights on the front and back of our boards. so worth it! cars could actual see us coming. haha. easily the sweetest dh session i have ever had. you wish you were there

So keen for a OUTLAW race, that sounds awesome. DONT do it during the holidays because I will here on the Island.

Only arrived on the Island tonight Leigh so I coulda come out, thats ok though I discovered that my foot is ok to walk on but after a short skate it's back to sharp pains and swelling again. Hopefully will get better soon though. New number noted.

Dani, it was great fun. Leigh and Bow got yelled at by somebodys mom.

Motor bikes were showin off at the top. The road was clear and most of the loose stuff was gone.
Great sesh, .....got to meet Nicko as well !!

Odowie, that session of yours sure sounded like a lot of fun.
Makes me wonder if Willunga council would go for a good ol fashioned skateboard race one friday night. Like serious style. Or an afternoon event with hay bails and all.
Maybe even run some slalom.
Sounds like it was really exciting, and the spectators were eating it up?? Awesome.

leadfood: thanks for the welcome! just keen to explore another skating dimension... I dont yet own a longboard, (have about 6 or 7 riders) sure I could chuck some 215's on a 33inch Blacklabel for a session!!

the willunga main street would be perfect for slalom and racing. it's not hell long for racing but it sure is friggin fun

and really wide so you could have like twenty guys doing it at once. you could easily make it start further up old willunga hill but then it just gets really really fast

haha. yes, i am hell keen for a race there

should get the pub to sponsor it! they'd love it hahaha

yeah definitely be up for a little outlaw. only thing is, i won't be able to do it on the weekend that you were talking about. Its probably the only weekend I can't do it actually.

and yeah yesterdays DH sesh at eagle was awesome. unfortunately there was a bit of a head wind which killed a lot of speed, but that was ok because it was a while since i last did it and bowditch was doing the full run for the first time. got some awesome footage aswell.

i'd love to try out old willunga hill one time. another good race spot. a bit more experienced than Eagle i reckon. lots more corners. only problem i have is oncoming traffic.
