Re: McAdelaide
Well the cross city thing would be more of an enjoyment/fitness ride with a drop of competition. if you haven't done long distance stuff you probably wouldn't understand, but you get a good feeling of satisfaction out of it once your finished.
Skye is a bit dangerous because of how steep it all is and the intensity of the traffic. Knox Terrace is alright, but its not much of a run. its more to practice left hand cornering all on that one corner. not all that fast either. theres better out there.

very steep and busy with a roundabout at the bottom. we have looked almost everywhere in that area. me and bo are gonna check out the golden grove area next. we don't know anything about that side of town, so we thought we go have a look.

You looking to kill yaself Nicko? Slide under the barrier here and youll be a goner.
Awesome angles on that road. Plenty of motorbikes.
Spose it could be good. Way past my confidence level tho.

Re: McAdelaide
haha im really bad at calculating slope from google earth so all these squiggly lines that look like sick roads are probably death spots... I also have the worst memory when it comes the roads and the like.

Re: McAdelaide
Hey when are you guys planning on having this outlaw race?
Just a suggestion, but if you can find a new subdivision estate thats hilly you can usually make some ok runs weaving through the streets. Not real fast but no traffic and when they dont have any houses you can see all the cars that are coming up too. Plus no lines so the cops cant do ####.
The hill in flinders uni is ok as you have 2 lanes like eagle on the hill, havnt done it on stand up though. Security guards think they're hero's as well so they usually put a handbrake on things. Again not super fast or technical.
Just throwing in my 2 cents!

Re: McAdelaide
Have you done that run luge style Duff?
I want to see that run. Someone else told me about that.
I agree about the vacant builds too. Seaford has had some.

Re: McAdelaide
great.. well i play volleyball down there so i might be able to check it out as well
Here are the pics of marble hill rd. Its really long with heaps of sweepers and a few hairpins.. Im itching to go up there.
The first pic is down one side from the summit and seems really mild then the other three are headed in the other direction. Elevation is 600m to 525m going the long way and 600 to 500 the other. The first pic is has a little on the end but nothing exciting.
What do you think?

Re: McAdelaide
You mean the UNI road Leadfoot? I haven't been up there for a few years but It was ok on the luge, about 80kh from memory. Like i said though the security up there dont take long to catch onto you, could get about 2-3 runs then they'd show up. Not what you want when your in the middle of racing!
A couple of guys i know were skating the flagstaff pines sub when that was first built but too crowded now. Thats what made me think of using something like that cos you can go as hard as you want into a corner when you can see whats on the other side, and there's no trees or guard rails to hit also.

Re: McAdelaide
Hey Nicko, i know that the other side of marble hill road is not bad (montacute rd) its pretty cruisy and goes for a while. We head up that side to go to corkscrew rd but i cant remember what the other side is like though. Like most good roads in the hills it has its fair share of cars and bikes on the weekends

Re: McAdelaide
lol sounds good skim.. I reckon you should go with the orangatangs if you can get them.. depends on whether you're ordering from the US or not.. Will the deck be ready enough for this weekend.. I might even come up on friday and we can have a good old board building sesh.. lol
im putting the new hellcat in the press tomoro so it should be ready within 48 hours easy. Cant wait to try it out with the grizzlies..
Oh and you know how we need a shorter board for sliding.. ive found one in the shed thats really small nicely shaped and has double kicks.. Do you remember the white one with the two blue stripes? Im gonna try the grizzlies on that with the slide A's for the moment. We could also use benny's shortboard and just swap the wheels out. Whatever.
Ill call you sometime this week to see what you're up to..
#### lol i just remembered you have footy all week dw about all the crap i said
