Re: C11 Scriber
I agree with most of the posts here. The wheels are slow but grippy. The reason they are so slow is two-fold. One, the wheels are way heavy and the stock bearings suck. I replaced both. Reds with ABEC 78A's and now I go way too fast!!!!
I had the board for less than two weeks and the trucks broke on me. Before that I had to take them apart completely once because the adjusting arm froze up on me. After greasing everything up I went for a days run and by the end they were frozen again [Poor Design].
Finally I bailed on a corner and my board kept going. Trucks hit a curb and snapped the adjusting arm in half. I'll post pics later.
I was so pissed I ordered the new c2's and shot of a nasty e-mail to Ben [Manager of Grom Biz]. Still haven't recieved my C2's or heard back from Ben.
Look out for another post from me about the C2's and with pics.

its true the wheels are slow , but with buying any standard complete deck theres always things you wanna change . Sucks to hear you had some troubles with em , ive been skating mine everyday for the last 2 months and no problems whatsoever. i opted for the axle upgrade and also had no problems, everything is working fine , and is quiet stable with all the bushings in tight , i wacked em on an evo with 83mm ,81a flywheels and swiss bones super 6's, think ive created a monster haha . im thinke only got it up to about 80kms so far and its stable as i love it . also i actually kept the front springs on so when im in town i just take out the front bushings so i can easily carve around everyone in the street.

yeah its all cool if u got the axle upgrage and paid another 66$ on top of the 250 for what is really not a prescsion truck
but if u don't u cant actually change the wheel, the axle is to small

must be magick then or im just lucky , cause the 1st thing i did when i got the scriber standard was replace the wheels with kryptonics and new bearings , i had no problems.... may i ask what you mean " not a precision truck" (not being smart , just trying to clarify what you mean ? cheers...

He means that it's a cast truck, not CNC'd from a solid block of hi-grade aluminium - like kahas, smokies, kookies etc.

Worth checking out just for a look. Think I might grab some.
Opinions??

By far the best ride out there. Started with a c11 then upgrades to c2 and couldn't be happier. The fact that it is so versitile is a plus. I get folks braggin about theer sidewinder trucks or how sharp they can turn for slolomn(sp?) then I do a quick adjust and I've got a better set up than anyone talkin crap. That is, after you change the wheels and bearings, they are terribly slow but way grippy.

Re: C11 Scriber
Can anyone with the scriber tell me what a good setting is for around 40 km. I'm headed to a garage tonight but I haven't taken them but pushing speed for cruising. I'm running reds and purple tangs with the stock board.
