I've been making boards for a while, and have some new protos available. I'm based in Christchurch NZ.
The darker board is an extremely good carver, very flexy and rides relatively similar to a dervish.
The lighter one is built for pure speed, it weighs in at 1.4kg and the core is made of paulownia (stronger than balsa.) Super stiff, with a nice concave.
PM me if you are interested in one of these boards, or if you would like me to make you a custom of any description, I'd also be extremely happy to help out.
they do look really nice.
one ? or 2.. as the shape indicates there will be flex through the middle so . how stiff is stiff what can you compare the race deck too.
can you post a side/front pic.
with size is the deck ,and can you show one set up.
and how have you layered it...glass etc.
Unfortunately I can't post a pic of it setup, as the one in the photo has already gone to a rider in Dunedin. I'll talk to him and see if he can post a pic.
Cheers, will.

Hey guys, I'm the new owner of a sexy as pulse custom.
Awesome board. I was really surprised with how light the deck was, but it was super stiff. I have it temporarily mounted on Chargers with lime Bigz, soon to be on 852 Grizzles and 83/81a Flys.. Super nice concave, feels like the board is connected to ya. As I've only had it for a day, I haven't been able to get it up to its true speed yet, but got it to about 50-60kph and it was super comfy and really responsive.
Come on mate...
Looks very similar to a construction I know of.
I would have expected a little more originality.
Being inspired by an idea, then adding your own twist is fine, but blatant copy?

What board would you be talking about? If you're referring to the board in your link I don't think it resembles too much. The shape is different than the one on your site.

Imitation, the highest form of admiration?
Ok, let's get things straight,
I'll admit that this board is BASED on your tri-lam proto. But, let's also remember that your board was BASED on the wefunk boards. Your idea of using a wooden stringer, to add stiffness and rigidity to a speedboard is not original.
I have used a solid piece of wood, rather than a V-lammed core. The layup, core profile, concave, tip thickness, wheelbase and outline are all original on this board.
If I was going to copy your board, I would have copied everything...
Also, when I designed this board in conjunction with jbucky, he mentioned that a wooden stringer would be a cool thing to play around with... so we just took it from there.
So, please don't be offended (or flattered... lol). The board only has one idea in common with yours ... the wooden stringer...
The next boards are going in a totally different direction, as I think I can further improve upon this design anyways.
32 inches wheelbase, around 10 inches at the widest points on the deck... It's a triaxial glass sandwhich, and a sneaky layer of 6oz on the bottom (if you like it stiff) They cost $160NZD, (so like $120AUD - all gripped, but without shipping).
I can do them in carbon as well, but of course that will cost a bit more...
It's good in terms of weight, but now I'm having problems with it deforming around the nuts on the dropped boards... Really nice to sand and router though.
Cheers, Will
