Re: The south-east Queensland thread
Hi Guys,
I'm back online. Great time on saturday. thanks to everyone who made it down.
I definatly keen to come up this weekend still. I can only make it on saturday though. I thinking about catching the train up with alex and then we can pick up the Toyota so we can hit up some hills. should be a great day.
The best glue for shoes is contact adhesive or shoe glue (bacisly the same thing).
As far as good down hill wheels. either Retro Big zig Greens, Black Hawg Monstors, or Orange O'tangs. They are all great wheels. It is realy just appeal and personal style after that.
Cheers Ben

Yes indeed it was a good day last Saturday of skating.
Oh really Ben hmm bummer not even say friday arvo if you can stay with your dad and brother up the coast, because I'm pretty sure the earliest train gets in at about 9.30 at Landsborough station then it's a bus trip to the coast. It's okk but just a couple of the fast ones can get busy later in the mornings but that's alright still some good runs around and yer if you can get the car that would be a bonus, we will have another guy with us who will have a car but i'm not sure how seat wise goes.

there is a perfect S bend you will like three corner drift, and some fast runs, but also a nice perfect run for any one really from beginners to pros Ash,myself and Ryan hit it about 6 times in one day and made the walk about 800m each time in 30dergee heat.

Josh and I would be keen next time you want to host a session and show us a few of your places

Re: The south-east Queensland thread
Hey lance I was tossing up that idea
The main thing we were doing was on sunday morning going for a cruise on a boat on the river.
although I might be able to leave at lunch and we could meet somewhere. I think we should have a look at gydnier drive, it is almost 3 km long and is wfull of turns but only maxes out at 50 if you push it so everyone will be able to do it, then we can go to some faster runs.
I'll get back to you on the times but

Hey lance I work on Sundays and start at 12 so yer it's pretty tight for me to get in some runs on Sunday it would have to be from like 5 or 6 in the morning hahaha.
Alex i would of been keen but i just organized to skate with Ash and some of the gold coast guys on Saturday at some new places they found until about 1 but then have to work at 6 so yer probs just do some garages in the city for about 2 hours before my train home.

Re: The south-east Queensland thread
I think I'll b at a mates in NW Brisvegas (Bunya) so we think we will be doing the hills there and if we can get a lift from his parents (or someone eles with a car...) go further out to camp mountain and samford etc
Theres some spectacular runs out there, seems like there could b some ones similar to the gap but wider, smoother (newer) roads.
ALL WELCOME (especially driving dads)
Have a look at the runs here Google Maps

Re: The south-east Queensland thread
I throught we should get the 'crew' together
Next weekend we should throw a Brisbane DH session.
I have found/know a few Dh runs around brissy
heres two of the runs + a corner we can give a shot.
First part - is the corner on payne road.
Middle part - is the last section of Dillion rd.
Last part - is Mt. nebo rd, Mt. nebo road has alot of different runs along it.
We would do the runs in that order probably, thats the easiest way transport wise.
I also want to check out (if we can and have time to) mt cotton rd and a run near nudgee school (good speed into a massive s bend)
who's up for it?
