Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??
OR you could get an original malakai for 125$?

Completely new, still got box, never ever even been mounted.
I can show you it on webcam if your interested.
Btw, that carbon thing seems like a copy of the old sector 9 carbon trylam, which you can still buy from most skateshops; complete for only a few dollars more than that force thing which is only the deck.

Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??
By looking at the shape I can tell you that its not made for downhill, maybe freeriding.
Mainly because in a tuck on the board your front foot would be set way behind the front truck.
So if your not planning on using it as your DH deck then then go for it.
IMO a dervish isnt worth the money anyway.
If you want a dervish-esque board talk to ash or pete from glyde. They'd be able to knock you up a bamboo and fiber glass deck for less than a dervish.

Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??
hey guys,
decided on sticking with the force, got it this afternoon
and guess what?? it was on sale from $400 to sumhow $100 - 175 less than the dervish
thats %75 peeps, i am amazed at the quality i got for A COMPLETE BOARD!!!!
quick run down of the board.
42" long, carbon top and bottom, drop thru, canadian maple
seems like a really flexy board, but i was angry that it didnt fit my randal 180's
so i chucked on the Force baseplate and put on the randal hangers and bushings
very stable board, but also good for carving since the flex, plenty of room for dancing
going to modify my randal baseplates to accomodate the stupid non fitting board lol
oh yeh i chucked on my 75mm otangs aswel
easy to push, pretty good at carving and dancing. sounds like a good comprimise for the dervish.
thanks to anyone that read this lol

Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??
Id assume the baseplate problem would be because the trucks are for old school mount holes, and the deck is drilled for new school. If this is the case then just re-drill the two holes need in your deck, don't bother modifying the baseplate.
enjoy the board mate

nah i think its the webbing on the randal's that re-enforce the centre where the king pin goes. the baseplate physically doesnt reach holes coz of the strength webbings.
i need to grind it down to make it fit lol

what you on about? have you looked at drop through boards recently, thats a pretty standard distance from standing platform to truck mountings. its pretty similar to the old lush spooky, and pretty much any drop through speedboard out there!
not trying to be an arse, just wondering!
to the op, glad you found a board you like, now go shred on it!
Ride for the stoke, not for everyone else.

Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??

look at those two and tell me there about the same distance from front truck to standing platform (the widest point at the standing platform). The main thing is the force has alot more taper around the front therefor to have you foot set even further back. Maybe its just me but I would not feel that comfortable in a tuck on that compared to a hellcat.

Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??
yeh thats a fair point, but all boards are different. like i said, take a look at the older lush spooky, it has a big ass nose and tail similar to the force board. its all rider preference though at the end of the day, some people prefer to stand further back from the trucks, others like to be on top of them. i can see your point though.

i do own a force carbon....and the other boards from force.the carbon is not a downhill board, i mean not for speed downhill. i ride it with force trucks and khiro bushings, grippins wheels....nice on little hills untill 30 mph....dangerous after !

Re: Anyone own a Force-Industries Carbon??
Hey dude, would you be able to PM me a photo of your Force Industries Carbon?
Thinking of investing and wouldn't mind knowing what it looks like, the website doesn't have them on there anymore.
Thanks!
