    Default Helmettt

hey guys, what's up? i'm going out to get me a brain bucket this weekend, the only problem is, i have no clue where to get one.

Does anyone know where i'd be able to pick up either a pro tec or a giro?

    Cheers,
    Dale

    Get a triple 8!!
If your going to get a protec, they're much better and are also very common in the skatshops
For higher end safety theres the bike helmets from bell, giro and fox on this site
Open Face Helmets : TBSM, The Bike Shed Mortdale, Australias Online Downhill and Freeride Mountain Bike Shop
Very good prices, though they are still quite a bit more expensive than the skate brands.

    Helmet info
2 stage foam/ most skate buckets - good for low speed impacts lower than 35km/h
Multi use, bottoms out at higher speed impacts, resulting in you getting the same force you would without a helmet
-though you won't get any cuts/road rash etc, just headaches/concusions and such

EPS foam/ most (all?) bike helmets - good for impacts between 15-45km/h
1 use , breaks so your skull doesn't

    Good helmets online
Boardshop Australia Skateboard Shop for Longboard, Old School, Pool & Slalom Skateboards
Smith SCABS Helmet - Hopkin Skate - longboard, skateboard, and skateboard racing

Triple 8 is better than the common Protec.
