Departed Fremont (34th North + Stone Way) and rode the Burke + Sammamish trails to Marymoor park, then back again.
And again. (The first 100 miles)
On the second trip back, joined by Shane of Northwestlongboarding.com, KOMO4 News also rode along in a van and shot footage of part of our ride, doing an interview at 6 p.m., then coming up to Greenlake to shoot live for the 11 o'clock news. We continued through the night until sunrise, when we stopped the GPS just before 8 a.m. to count the last 95 miles.
We were shooting for 200, so I guess that'll have to wait for the next ride!
Awesome support from Gareth Roe of RoeRacing (roeslalom.com) staying out the entire night with his son Nate, who also rode alongside on a support bike. Other long distance support riders were Patrick Alldred, Calin Schepler, Shane Donogh, Iliegh Amable, John Stryker, Jeremy, Steve, Spencer, Ken, and Kevin, braving 30--40 degree night temps! All in the name of an excellent cause.
