Best longboarding in San Diego?

hi everybody, i just started longboarding, picked up a gravity slalom that im really starting to like. But what i'd like to know is, where are the best spots to longboard in sd? im guessing the sidewalk along any beach, but i'd like to try a less crowded area before i go there. and does anybody know how serious the sdsu police are about enforcing that no skate law, like will they confiscate your board? b/c i'd like to try one garage there, but don't want my board stolen by them. Any other garages too? thanks a lot

There's a no skate law at SDSU? That's weird cause there are TONS of people skating at UCSD.
