Check it out. So if you are a student, or a Berkeley community member, join the group!!! Here is what the Facebook group description says:

The Longboard Connection at Berkeley(officially registered as The Longboard Club for now), is the only official student organization at UC Berkeley for longboarders.

The concept is simple: uniting longboarders throughout campus and the community to cruise, dance, bomb, and slide together.

This group will serve as the medium through which longboarders at UC Berkeley and in the community can meet other longboarders, and then go out and skate together. The only meetings will be the actual skate sessions. All planning of these sessions will be done on this Facebook group. I am only the initiator of this idea; anyone can start up an event in the discussion area (for example, I don't do extreme downhill, so someone can start an event to gather those interested in downhill).

Some events I will start for the near-future(after building the membership base for a couple weeks): "Lessons" on how to ride, Easy-cruising sessions for beginners, Clock-tower downhill runs(campanile down to Shattuck through campus), Garage sessions(i.e. Underhill Garage).

On top of riding, I envision this group as a general discussion for longboarding in general: showing off your grip tape designs, discussing your new setup, talking about new boards, wide-scale longboard events, news, dope youtube videos...

Most importantly, there is NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT. This is just a way to connect longboarders together. Everyone is welcome(even if that means you don't know how to skate), and there will be events for ALL skill levels. So keep on checking back on this group for updates, and when events near, I will send out a message to everyone.
