Ninja, I've scouted this exact spot and I'll admit I was spooked by that hazard. So sad that the engineers had to ruin what would have been a splendid run.

I'm up for skating just about every day at 3:30pm when I get off work. That gives us sunlight for a little while. Skating at sunset is an essential part of my diet, too.

Anyone here in San Diego is welcome to join me for an afternoon session any day of the week. I'm on the internet only a few times a week these days ... better to call me around 3:00 and leave a message ... 619 697-8147 ... I'll get it before 4:00. My weekends are open.

I've done a good deal of scouting lately, mostly in La Mesa. I have an assortment of challenges for anyone who's up for it.

Kai, I've got some video footage that's almost ready for you. I'm dying (almost literally ... !) to master Aldine Ave and get it on film ... I'm surprised to find how challenging it is to recruit camera people who are both attentive and adventuresome ... I've got some ideas that I want your involvement in, especially as it concerns Aldine which is too long and winding to be shot from a single stationary cameraman ...

CoolhandMike, how're those stand up slides coming? I'll have my sliding board ready for the next time we go out.

Some0ner, I want to show you a couple sick bombs I've been hitting ... most of them have sufficient enough payout to avoid the need to slide ... I bombed Montezuma Ave last night around 1:30 in the morning to miss all the heavy traffic--and ate sh1t on a manhole cover (too dark to see, no chase car...). I was just starting to pick up speed ... I suffered an injured elbow-argh! Had I completed the bomb, I imagine I would have hovered around 35mph for a minute or two before reaching the end ...

EBasil, I assure you that not everything we do pure aggro ... please join us for Del Mar Ave sometime soon ...

You're bringing pie? Excellent; but let's not just woof it down ... we'll make it a prize for something like, best slide, or best camera work, eh ... (?)

    I'll be there.

I wonder if I could make it all the way down del mar without dropping the pie?

Yesterday's Ninja Session was our greatest yet, agreed? It was great to see the crew bustin' out such a variety of techniques and styles. Every time we do this, it seems like everyone goes home stoked with new ideas for their own riding. I can't wait to see the videos.

Thanks to everyone (including myself, and especially A-Don) for setting down the skateboard every now and then and picking up the cameras for a little while. We had a lot of fun and got a lot of work done.

Speaking of work, how's it coming there on your end, Kai?
