SAN DIEGO - Ninja Bomb Squad
... Saturday, 25 September, 1:00pm in La Mesa.
MEET AT 1300 (1:00PM) SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT THE CORNER OF LAKE MURRAY DRIVE AND KIOWA DRIVE. IF YOU ARE LATE, LOOK FOR US ON ADJACENT MARYLAND AVE, OR ACROSS LAKE MURRAY BLVD ON ONE OF THE LITTLE HILL STREETS IN THAT AREA.
Take 8 freeway and exit North on Lake Murray Blvd. Turn right on Kiowa and look for crew on this hill. Kiowa is one of my all time favorite hills ... sweet and surgical gliding cuts it provides.
watching you nail the reg/fakie/reg slide
watching mike nail his pendulum slides
####### taking out the cameraman was classic
nailing my first ever pendulum
good rides...
man taking out the camera was awesome, I was just like #### I don't think I have the space to pull this, screeeetch slide, thump and then it was just limbs and boards and I was praying I didn't #### up the camera...
buahahhahahaa, yea and thanks for the bearing

yup gunna meet up at UCSD for this weeks weekend session,
1:30pm at the parking structure..
info from cool hand mike follows...
hope to see you there...
"i've found a couple of decent hills at ucsd. most of it's just fairly
easy carving, so i think it'll be a good changeup. however, there is
one very technical hill that i've heard people trying to take before,
but i don't know if it's true or not. it's a narrow winding path down
a hill, so there isn't much room for any mistake.
anyway. here's how to get there.
from the 5, exit La Jolla Village Drive.
head west, which is a left turn if you're taking the 5 north and right
if you're taking the 5 south.
make a right on Villa La Jolla. at the end is a 6 story parking structure.
i think it's a good idea to meet here and we can move to other
locations accordingly.
i think 1:30 is a good time.
i don't think there'll be too many people on campus. they usually
start coming back sometime in the evening."

This is the "Gnarley Spiral" described in the thread by the same name: http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...pic.php?t=7498
Meet on Bachman Place above the parking structure. Park on the street and skate/walk to the second garage entrance. Take the elevator to the top floor. Message me and I'll email you a map and directions. Or use MapQuest and locate Bachman Place.
I'm going to try and get some live video of us going down the spiral. I think races would be fun. We can also get some sic downhill runs next door.
I'll be there much to the chegrin of my gf... I asked her to come but it's right after her soccer game so blah! I hope mad people come out to this one, well either way I will be there...
if you are looking for BOMBING in SD tonight this is the place to be...

Golden Hills, San Diego, does have some great bomber runs. The three we did this afternoon were pure fun. I love it when the chicks drive by blowing us kisses and taking pictures!
NinjaBombSquad will be gathering again on Thursday at either the Chaos Helix or a new parking garage in downtown that Kai is scouting. I'll post as soon as we know for sure.
is that parking garage you speak of in downtown by any chance near the spaghetti factory? i was checking that out it seems chill no cameras and didnt see any rent-a-cops

Kai said it's part of the convention center, I believe. New construction ...

I do know which one you speak of no I have never hit it, I would like to though, maybe we could scope it thursday?
The parking garage I speak of is between the convention center and the cornado bridge, it's still being built hoping to hit it before it is open to the public the structure itself is up but no elevator and the stairs haven't been completed...
we will see...
I still regret not bombing the 495w/95s ramp in DC so I understand the importance of hitting it while it's green...

what do you want to hit on thursday? the convention center is a neat little run, then maybe hit up the helix?

Thursday October 14th 9:00pm
Meet on the south west side of the convention center
between the grassy knoll and the convention center
there are weird hump towers and a van gogh style statue
Bring a flashlight if you don't want to bomb blind
Glasses help to keep rocks out of your eyes
Black is the color of the day
I would advise against bringing ID
This garage has been scoped and is secure
But due to location could get hot quick
I posted about this location yesterday
PM myself or any other member of Ninja Bomb Squad to get more info

Bravo Zulu, Ninja. A fine piece of scouting work. Count me in, and I'll put the word out to the offline ninjas. I'll work on obtaining a video camera and support crew, too.
Good luck, guys! Looks like you found one that's not yet under lockdown!! Have a great ride, and leave no trace...
Malakai, which narrow, winding hill were you talking about on UCSD? A footpath, or a "street"? I usually park up near RIMAC, then skate routes roughly counterclockwise around campus (but now that school's in session and it gets dark early, hours are very limited there). I do know of a few steep-ass walking paths, but I haven't got the stones to ride them.
Ho ho, unless you mean The Snake?!
I usually roll the main path all the way out to Revelle Plaza, then (Summer only) can bomb/carve down to Gilman by going up to StoneHenge then down past the Che', or turn around, go back and cut through the Student Center and descend to Library Walk, through Warren and then back around toward Gilman and the "new" parking structure.
