Lake Vasona - Los Gatos, CA (beginners/intermediate)
A great place to longboard. Best to go when few people are there (late evenings). Early mornings would probably work too. Here's the layout:
- Two big paved hills (they get you going fast initially but you can quickly ride it out)
- a couple small hill paths connecting to the lake
- Walking/biking path that slopes frequently
- A park entry point which is a long road going through the park. Doesn't look it but you start at the ranger's station and yer gonna be moving rather quickly -/+ 20 mph. Ride ends in 2 minutes though.
