i thought i start a thread for hawaii people to learn about new spots to bomb or carve.
From gnarly hills to mellow bike paths.
Mililani tech park - gnarly hill
Mililani Mauka- regular hills
waipio gentry bike path- fun mellow hill but watch for pedestrian
wahiawa royal palm but get speed bumbs now so good for carving
Well, me and my friends live in hawaii. I live mililani and we just meet anywhere on sundays. And we go like. Anywhere there are good hills. Like yesterday we went manoa!
So I am a maui guy, live in kihei and there isn't a lot on this side. A few very short runs in Wailea, maybe up in Maui Medows area but I have been a bit bashful to try up there yet (trying to get out of noob status). But for those that have a deathwish there is always Haleakala, I've heard of a lot of people doing it... the bicyclist say that it is the quickest descent in the world... from 10,023 ft to sea level... over 30 or so miles... not all is ridable though and I am pretty sure there are cattle guards

maui's got CHOKE hills... haleakala has 3 cattle guards. sick runs. and just cuz its not super steep doesnt mean u can learn on it. push hard and make it challenging, hug the turns and get your footbreak down most importantly. just learn how to stop asap, cuz u never know when u gotta stop on a dime, its always good to know that u can. and always where one helmet liadat, and be akamai (smart)!!
some spots in keolu will get you going, follow the hill up past the shack and look left, theres a few there. kaneohe's the same way, but you jsut gotta do a little looking. then theres the pali if youve got super-nads

hey man so i went to maui like a month ago with 2 friends through the super ferry, we stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. once we got off the super ferry we longboarded and hitch hiked everywhere our goal was to go to Hana and back. and we made it mostly on board and we camped out, sick hills to bomb though, and had a about 30-40 pound backpack on too. ate #### sometimes. good fun, wanna hit up another island and do the same. maybe bigisland
