Back by popular demand, Purple Skunk Board Shop will host the ALL Skate Jam in San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park on Sunday, October 12th. The Jam would not be jammin’ without co-hosts, Sk8Kings and Plank Skateboards. Come watch Richy Carrasco spin like there is no tomorrow and David Troxel shoot out swag with his bazooka gun! It’s our day of fun to give back to our community, customers, friends and anybody who just loves to “roll”.
We’ll have ALL types of skating that day – a slalom course will be setup, fun boxes and rails for new school, downhill longboarding and freestyle. Bring your ride!
The day starts at 10:00 a.m. Check-in at the Skunk tent with your board and get a ticket for a chance at our free raffle (held at the Skunk at 3:00 p.m.). A light Continental breakfast will be available for the early risers. The slalom course will be up and ready, rails and fun boxes placed and the hill is ready to be carved. Hot dogs will be tossed on the grill around 11:30 a.m. Come and get ‘em while supplies last. Skateboarding fun until Dave’s swag bazooka toss break at 2 pm and group pic. After all the slalom, long boarding, freestyle, and street skating action, it’s back to the Purple Skunk shop for one killer raffle that is held at 3 p.m.
***Must attend Jam w / skateboard to receive raffle ticket!
Jam location is on Middle Drive West (off of MLK – Martin Luther King Drive and Metson Road), in front of Metson Lake. Family friendly if you plan to setup a picnic by the lake! Directions: Northbound - Enter from Lincoln @ 25th Ave. or 41st Ave. Southbound – Enter from Fulton @ 25th Avenue.
Our special thanks to SF Park and Rec for allowing us to have the jam and for giving us a new location that we can call ours and ESPECIALLY to our sponsors who have donated merchandise for our swag toss and raffle.

All-Skate Jam
Get your shred on at the All-Skate Jam this weekend in Golden Gate Park. This is an event for wood pushers of all genres: new school, old school, freestyle, slalom, you name it. All are welcome to hang out, even those who don’t have their own board. Special guests include the Sk8Kings skateboarding team (sk8kings.com). Have you ever seen Sk8Kings captain Richy “Brown Bomber” Carrasco spin 360’s? If not prepare for shock and awe. Carrasco, who’s been in the skate game since the 70’s and is one of skateboarding’s true pioneers, holds the Guinness Book World Record for consecutive 360-degree spins. That would be 142. Carrasco also recently broke world record for the 100-cone slalom run, in which he zigzagged cleanly through 100 straight, full-sized cones in 21.179 seconds. Other Sk8Kings rippers in the mix include freestylers Gary Holl, Christian Opperman, Marcus Rietema and Jon Bunn. 10 a.m – 2 p.m. Sun. Free. Golden Gate Park, near the Polo Field on Middle Drive West (off Martin Luther King Drive and Metson Road). Enter from Lincoln on 25th or 41st avenues. (415) 668-7905. purpleskunk.com.

But one day a girl WILL be impressed.
She'll yell after you to stop.
You bust out a lookback to make sure it was her.
She almost faints.
It IS her so you bust out a g-turn and cruise back.
By this time she's dropped her panties and all those failed carves are worth it
