Is UCSC cool?
Every time I tell someone I want to go there I get the "oh, so you like hippies and ugly chicks?"
we have a good Asian/hispanic/mixed population and we don't just have hippies. I'd say it's pretty diverse.
There are hippies on campus but i would say they make up a mere 3-5%. Rather people are environmental oriented, but who isn't now a days? You don't see people really preaching but you hear about the issues of the environment is facing and what people want to do about it. I probably hear something like that maybe once a month.
Santa Cruz is laid back and has good weather, i wouldn't want to go many other places for college, and I'm not a hippie or anything like that.
and btw is that felt st? also where is that trail head?
been reading the fish for a while now, but as you can see have never posted.
i graduated UCSC about three years back, and only recently gotten back into longboarding after pretty much not skating through college
anyways if folks are meeting up let me know.
I also have a Dirtsurfer that I bought recently that I've spent little time on (working full time), but i've taken it down some fireroads in upper campus and wilder ranch and think the trail system overall is among the best in the country. So if anyone mountainboards or has a dirtsurfer hit me up please!
