What's the deal on the new smokers/obombers? does the new shape give them more grip? Better slide? Faster? Slower? I've never tried earthwing wheels but i might if longboardskater gets them in stock anytime soon..

Grip, everything else is the same (but the slide is compromised) at least its how they should work out.

I haven't spent too much time on the old shape but i don't see it really compromising the slide

What ever DH board you make, make it twintip...
That's the first thing I look for a DH board when I get a new one.

Just to throw in my .02. Sharp lips definitely help grip. But, big stiff lips also can make for a nice chatter free slide when broken in due to decreased flex. At least this is my experience.

Too bad my hoodie didn't show up yesterday. I was gonna wear the hoodie and beanie, put on my all my pads and gloves and carry the blue Corchia into work. My sponsored super slider costume and yeah, it'd have been a costume since I don't slide for squat.

I really am thinking about buying a boomerang
I have the Never Summer Heist but hated the thing until I top-mounted it (and still hate it because the wheelbase is retardedly huge), so I'm thinking that a flexy top-mount with a nimble 'base might be for me
Anybody that can vouch for the Boomerang?

Also, I was figuring I'd run it with indy 215s and some slippery 66mm-ish wheel (fat free yotangs, maybe?)
    any comments on that setup

I'll vouch for the Boomerang. And so will all the other folks on here who have ever stepped on one. The thing feels uniquely alive.

I had mine on 215s for a while. They were fine. Now it's on Ace 66 hybrids and Road Rages with 1/4" riser. A little more nimble with the slightly narrower trucks. But really, who cares. Buy one now.

Retired my trusty Supercharger today to make room for a new Glider. She's 2 years old, got her Oct. 07. I skated her in so many NJ/NYC events in the last 2 years I can't even remember all of them. There's really no reason to retire her other than I want to hang her up. Epic decks deserve a spot on the wall of fame.

Well you must be doing things w.r.o.n.g. if that's a recent picture. That sweet deck is how I envision mine looking after 2 years whether I ride a lot or not. Which goes against the feeling I get from most around here that a deck should probably get it's first damage just coming out of the box.

That's so nice it can hang on the wall for a year or two and when you need a little something different, pull it down for a nostalgic ride. I bet it'll be a very good thing.

If you can see from the picture I have destroyed my superglider. Just to see how far I could ride it to. It was still going strong but I gave/lent it to a friend to learn on. The nose was done for. The rest of the board was still good though.
