mmhm i have the same problem. I got a set of In Heats on a KS board which is driving me towards purchasing some kind of drop thru. I was thinking of teh lejendary griffindor in sex offender purple, but it looks a little heavy.

I really want a MM (or a topmount DH board), so I guess I gotta trade these wheels.

That depends on what wheels and risers you're running.

What are those clever marketing words again?..., green, organic, sustainable, environment friendly, eco-magical, ...yeah, all of that..
Brian, are you ever going to do another run of 32-33" slide decks with thermoplastic top/bottom sheets? I love my Executioner to death, but unfortunately it's getting pretty close to, well, dead.

Kyle, you don't like the new Jailbird deck? I know it's not thermoplastic, but it's about the same dimensions as the Executioner, and well....it looks sick!

Oh, that's not what I meant. It looks like a really awesome deck with those dimensions and wheelwells. I'd love to try it out sometime, as I'm sure it would feel great to ride.

It's hard for me to put this in words... Holding it in my hands, the Executioner doesn't feel noticeably lighter than my other 7ply decks, but there's something really unique about it underfoot. It just pops so clean and high when I ollie it, it feels really different from the 7-ply DJ32 I'm also riding. The SY33 is similarly constructed and whenever I've ridden that deck, I get the same airy feeling. Maybe I just have funky technique or something haha, but that's been my experience.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'll miss it when I have to retire it.

kjc, i know what you mean, they have more of a crisp feeling if that makes sense...all wood boards feel damp..if that makes sense

It's different, for sure, though I sorta get the opposite feeling, haha. To me, 7-ply decks have a very sharp, rigid click to the pop, whereas composite decks have a very slight "bounce" that makes the pop feel spring-like. Maybe the latter is more forgiving to poor technique or something, lol.

On that note, I'm sure it's more a matter of bad technique on my part than material advantage, as I know any respectable street skater will have no problem getting a nice high ollie off an all-wood board. Hopefully I'll have gained some more experience by the time my Executioner is wrecked...

It does make sense. I find the thermoplastic boards have a very snappy feel when ollied. Crisp is a very good way to describe it vs. the feel of a wood deck.
