I have yet to actually flatspot my wheels due to slides... I guess I never hold it at parallel very long either though. I have flatspotted them slightly by hitting a rock and sliding for 3 feet straight until I fell off, but that's a little different than your situation... The spot was pretty easy to work out, just more sliding and a lovely Vespa sound to accompany them.

that happens when you hold any wheel at 90 for too long. don't do that, try to slide at 45, or 115, or pretty much any other angle than perpendicular to the direction of travel.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
I put a weird flatspot on one of my Slide A's doing a half-assed speedcheck/standup slide kind of thing. I weighted the back of my board too much, and flatspotted my rear heelside wheel.
On another note, I recently re-enrolled in the Earthwing Skateboard Army with the purchase of a new 38" Supermodel. I've got some Grizzlies and some Speed Vents waiting for a board, so when MHS had their President's Day sale, I jumped on it. I'm trying to work out some kind of awesome griptape art for it; I'd like a General Lee theme since the board is awesome-freakin'-orange.
I also mustered another combatant into the Earthwing ranks, by setting my girlfriend up with a Superglider. Not sure how we're going to set her board up, but I've got some spare Randal 150's that I was thinking of giving her...Not a clue as to wheels at the moment though.
yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

the kicks are said to have the same cupped nose and tail found on the EW street decks. if you've ever ollied one, you'd notice the crispy pop. i can only assume it'll carry over to a bigger shape just fine. when i get to try one out i'll definitely tell you guys what i think. and i'm sure i'll have good things to say

Andriy said the new drifters are like bigger versions of the Earthwing 32''. I ride the 32'' for street, park, and techsliding. My god, the concave is absolutely delicious. Just the perfect amount, so good that it makes Jessup griptape feel good. The pop is crisp. Slap on the 62mm Slide As and you got even more leverage for your pop because of the height off the ground in comparison to regular Bones 54mms. It's not symmetrical, but I like it like that. The tail is noticeably at a shallower angle, allowing for a really quick pop to attack street obstacles. The steep nose can be used to catch your foot to prevent oversliding of your foot during huge ollies.
Oh and Brooklynbomber you're an ass hole, after you chipped my tail, it imploded and now i got less tail and less pop.
Check out my YouTube channel! It's usually a bunch of Earthwing homies shredding together in my videos

Hey, I want to get an Earthwing Roadkiller. I saw the blem sale on the site. Are the perfect blanks that are available for -$35.00 just regular Roadkillers with no graphic? I'm a little confused on what Perfect blank means.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
Perfect would be what you would buy from them normally or any vendor, with no blems, like scratches, scrapes, or any defects of any kind. The blank just means there's no graphic, so solid white. Collectively, 'perfect blank' means it's a perfect board, but without the graphic on the bottom.

Quite a lot. Why would you want to do that? It would handle much better with a 65-60mm.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
Actually not too bad. People who skate with me know the set up I ride and rocking a half inch riser and mega loose trucks I get away with 65mm wheels.
Inch to be safe tho because I have gotten wheelbite, but then again I only tighten my trucks only to the point where mechanical slop stops. Meaning you can wheelbite it by just pushing with your hands.
And It dont look to bad, not to mention blunt slides get steeeeeep as FACK.
Two kickflips dont make a double kickflip.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
Hey guys, So i just got my tax return so i was go buy the new Drifter when it came out next month. However... i found this: earthwing drifter complete
Is this a legitimate Drifter? If it is, does anyone know the specs? A quick google search gave me nothing that looked like it. He says it comes with Action Trucks and 70mm GFH longboard wheels. Is this a good deal? Should i just wait for the new Drifter? I figure that I could just buy Indy's and slide A's if the setups that bad...

That is legit. It's an old drifter OOP. I know the guy selling them. Just buy the deck I think it's 35$ which is a STEAL considering the rareness and condition of those decks. This is one of the best drifters eve pressed IMO.

What? he's got more than one? Hell, I'd be on it.
What's with CA? I got my 2nd BigFoot complete in really nice condition from CL in CA.
@Tyler - go get that thing before I hate myself for breaking my own current restriction on buying. (also tax related but squirreling away to PAY rather than spending )
If the shoe fits...
(LMFAO)
