Why is that beautiful board sitting on a pile of manure?

    And what wheels are those?

I had a feeling. But I've never seen them with red cores. Snazzy.

Hey guys, I previously posted in the Mile High Updates thread about a problem I am having with the Hybrid Widerglider Complete I got from MHS. I was getting massive wheelbite with the setup he sent me, even with the trucks tight. This is the truck setup I was getting the bite on, except I had tightened the trucks a lot more than in the picture.
Indy 169s, Core plates, Venom 90a cone on the bottom.

After a few bad experiences, I made the decision to get some 90a or 93a Elims from Mark to use on the bottom and keeping the 90a Cones he sent the board with for the top.

Today, after making this decision, I decided to try another bushing setup. I kept the 90a Cones on the bottom and took the Bones Hardcore Medium tall cones I was using on another board and put them on the top. I tightened them down a fair amount, more than I would have liked to.

Still bite. Not as much as before, but still enough for the board to stop on a dime and send me flying.

When I get the Eliminators and use them as bottoms instead of the current cones I have on, will this make a huge difference? Or will I need some more risers as well.

When I have this board set up the way I like it, I don't want any chance of wheelbite. Not "I'll only get wheelbite if I'm going slow and turn really hard," but ZERO chance. I can't enjoy the ride if there is a chance of bite because I get really paranoid about that sort of thing.

    What do you think?
    Thanks so much in advance.

A non-cone bottom bushing should help.

+2 I use elims on the bottom of my indys and bones hardcores on top for my glider. I know for me I find using a cone on the bottom to feel way to soft for my likening.

The Eliminators will help a ton. Are those 169s? I was using 80a reflex jimz bottoms but switched to venom barrels on bottom. I've had no wheelbite with either setup. A big thing that might be the issue is your top bushing. I'm using a slightly longer kingpin and barrel to bushings.

Put something like a green or red Venom barrel with a fat RESTRICTIVE cup washer on the bottom. Run your kingpin a bit snug, use a small cone on top also with a cup washer. You can use a softer top cone if it feels too restricted. Cup washers make a world of difference, so can a little bit of riser.

Also, if you're testing for wheelbite while standing still... does it bite AFTER one of your wheels lifts off the ground? When actually riding with some speed, you'll rarely get past the leaning point where all 4 wheels are down.
