Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
I know this was posted awhile back, but gosh its sexy...
Its up and for sale on the EW site, reminds me of the old glider color scheme. Guess the Charger is now a tad shorter at 41, correct me if I am wrong I have never owned one.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
if its already been posted, forgive me, but does anyone know what the flex is like on that board? same as the old chargers? i'm thinking of setting it up for the super mild dh (45mph and under) that i like to do, depending on how stifff it is.
call me dumb but i like all my boards to have kicktails.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
I wouldn't take a supercharger up to 45mph. Thats what the Mystery Model or Boomerang are meant for (the boomerang has a snappy flex, not like a loaded flex and is also cambered).

I agree, having a kicktail is so nice even if you only use it occasionally. Even on my LDP, I hate that I have to literally pick it up and turn it around if I am on a narrow trail/ road that does not allow for a full 180 turn.

We need more pics of the new Charger. I'd love to see a concave shot. Wells, where are you?
Pumpin' about on my LBL and pushin' about on my Widerglider.

i know what you mean and i just can't slide the same without one.
maybe a boomerang owner can back me up on this, but i was just looking at them and maybe if i set it in to the smaller wheelbase i can have a little quasi-kicktail.

Archy, I saw that deck in the pics of quiver thread. Those colors look great on the Boomy.
I will ask you here as it is EW relevant... What board is that mini? Was it actually a production board or did you mod some other creation?

No kidding, learn something new everyday! I didn't even know it existed. Is it basically a pool/park board or does it have some flex for carving?

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
The Earthwing mini is just a little streetstyle cruiser deck. It's just big enough to ollie easily. The thermoplastic gave it a little torsional flex; but you're not getting much flex on a 14" wheelbase.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
What's the flex on the new supercharger like--say, in comparison to a widerglider?
My Dad's looking for a new board to cruise/carve on (first/only board is an Evo), and I'm thinking about getting him to join the EW Army.
I've got the Widerglider, so a comparison from those who have both would be awesome.
Thanks in advance.

Nice, I'd love to hit up some of those bike paths. I can't belive Columbia has skateparks now? We would have killed for that! I use to live on Jacob's Ladder. At the bottom of the street behind the houses there was an amazing ditch - I was there a few years ago and it's completely filled in with rocks and dirt now Some pool hopping at the Steven's Forest pool too but that didn;t last too long after my brother snapped his wrist!!!

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
The superchargers are much stiffer than the widergliders. Under my 145 pounds, they were medium stiff (I would be comfy tucking in it). I'm going to be setting one up as a freeride board. (Observations with regard to the prototype...pretty sure the productions are the same thing.)

That's cool, and yeah there's two pretty cool skateparks in Columbia. One of them is brand new (and free!) and the other one was just renovated. No bowls in them, but they're still a lot of fun. The street skating scene here is pretty huge, too. The bike path system runs for many many miles all the way through Columbia, and a lot of it is pretty smooth. They've been working on it for a long long time. Maybe I'll check out the remains of the ditch to see if there's a possibility of cleaning some of it out. I love summer projects like that. And skating the pools is pretty impossible now because they keep them half way filled up off season
For some recent Columbia skating footage, you can check out youtube and search something like "Columbia MD skate." There's some pretty cool videos I've seen.

They are a little stiffer - that proto was way stiff, but the production model is about perfect. They are moving fast, I spent this last week gripping decks - tons of them. They will be out of here shortly, so I am pumping up for the next production...supergliders will be shipping in new colors after this week.

Had a chance to test the Gravity Burners Mark? I like Gravity`s new urethane (from using the Hi-Grades) I can imagine the Burners rocks.
