Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
I can tell that she's doing an elbow slide, it's just kind of hard to tell, especially for people who are unfamiliar with sliding. I guess I just don't like the angle of the shot, and I've never been too too fond of elbow/helmet slides. It's just my opinion, and I'm not too much of a tech slider. For what it is, though, I think the lighting and editing are great, and I really like the use of sequence shooting. I can appreciate the skill it takes to rip like Jess does, I know for sure I could never come close to doing tricks like that.

this was a few months ago and since then i've become a better photographer. and i know now that closeness is a necessity with this kind of photography. it was just a graphic arts project for this class i'm taking. i guess i was just so excited that i got that kind of panned stroboscopic effect from that. i had been trying to perfect panning for awhile and got a great result.
thanks for your opinion.

I know what she is doing, but I just didn't like the pic. No offense.

Steve, you got style all over the place. I don't know where your surf style came from, I guess you either got it, or don't got it. You got it, so keep it, got me?

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
Dad just joined the EW Army with a Boomerang and the new Supercharger. Happy Birthday, Dad.
I got RII 180s and Road Rages for him to swap between both setups and see which one he likes. Anyone try those trucks/wheels with the supercharger? I know it'll be good on the boomerang, but I've only seen indy setups on superchargers...

Having ridden the v1.0 Supercharger ("OlderCharger"?) with Paris 180s, RII 180s, and Indy 215s, I'd go for Indys. The reverse-kp trucks will be more than adequate, but the board moans with delight when paired with Indys.

Re: The Earthwing Skateboard Army
becuase i dont actually own any "freeride" wheels and since i heard the new EW freeriders would be purethane. i decided to jump the gun and do something with my Obomers. i radioused them.
holy poo. these puppies are fun. i love purethane. so much. these slide far faster and farther than previous wheels that i slide (78a vs 83a probably the biggest difference here). and they also break away nice and easy.
edit: ill get picks when i get home. basically i reduced the contact patch by 4mm.
