purethane is dope for holding a line and popping a predrift. for pure sliding though, hooks up too fast IMO.

Please... a couple of you glider ninjas tell me how yours is set up without wheelbite in the rear.

I was playing with mine tonight, it's got 66m Fatties on it and hybrid 169's. I tried a bunch of bushing combos. I want it carvy. It had hard 1/4" risers on it and I finally added soft Khiro wedges. Wedged the front, dewedged the back. A black randal barrel bottom/green sabre barrel top with flat nylon washer in the back and finally, no bite.

I'm trying but will appreciate your input.

I had the same problem a while back. Kept tweaking parts and finally came up with my perfect, bite-free setup.

With 66mm wheels, I ended up with a big wedge in the front and 1/4" riser in the back. I use 93a Venom Barrels on the bottom, Sabre Cones on top, with CUP washers. Contrary to popular belief, they are actually great for some applications. Cup washers, combined with a harder bottom bushing, give you a more "progressive" lean, as in the more you lean, the the more force it takes to continue leaning. They also help to avoid bite because the truck doesn't end up turning quite as much. I also sanded in much bigger wells. Wedges, as you probably noticed, also help to avoid bite, and even liven up the board a little bit.

The glider, IMO, is best with a high rebound setup, not a sloppy loose setup. Keep playing around until you find what's just right.

rats... well sanding. Thanks for sharing though. At least I know it's not just me. I almost put a set of Bennett 6.0's on it since they'd be taller but I wanted to save them for something else.

Dude, try the bennetts. I was in the same situation and tried bennetts. No bite with 70mm wheels with 1/4in riser. Ultra carvey goodness

    My wheelbite solution:

The new 56s are dope. The old ones didn't really slide and died too quickly; but these can take abuse. Pat was putting the hurt on them and barely coned a couple.

@GolGo = thks. I probably will now. I had some plant for the 6.0's but all I can think of right now is getting that Glider the way I like it with out turning me into a yard dart.

@Wells .... lol, you so funny porkchop!! Smaller wheels were another option but I was trying to ignore that one. Since I'm not sliding (yet) then I like a bigger wheel for the plushy ride, besides rolling over rocks, goose turds, cracks and stuff.

I love boarding but I also love bicycles. Seeing all those people on bikes is a beautiful thing. Maybe because of your influence some more skaters will show up. Wow, a whole city filled with people moving around by bikes and boards, I think we are on to something.
