London longboard meet !!

All london longboarders new and experianced meet up at Victoria Park november 7th "Saturday" between 12 and 1 for a fun day of longboarding. Don't be stupid wear your helmet !!!

Let's see how many london longboarders there are and maybe we can do this every month or so.

Count me in!

DH Reaper and I skate almost every available nice day and have been trying to find other passionate London longboarders.

Everyone should come out to Vic park though...whats up with the hour window? I was under the impression you wanted a big group to going for a cruise? Why don't we say meet at the park around 12:00 noon and we'll leave 12:15ish. Unless of course, you were wanting a session AT the park for an hour.

Either way I'll be there with DH Reaper, and anyone else we can convince.

As Dev said, you know I'll be there. Posted this on OLF as well. Sent a mass text to 10 people cause a lot of people aren't on the 'fish or OLF.
And I know a lot of you still aren't running lids! Wear one or we'll make fun of you.

Sounds like a good day! The window was just there so we can kinda plan where to go but its all set now so we will meet around 12 and get out of the park around 12:15 or alittle bit later

ALL IN! But I forgot my helmet in Ottawa. Apologies in advance for making us look unsafe!

Is there a dress code for this event like the TO / NY ones w collared shirt/tie/helmet required?

Do we have a rain date? I propose Sunday from noon-one.

There is no dress code man maybe in the future but not for this first one

"Longboard meet" is a little misleading. No shirt/tie required.

We're just hoping for a huge group if possible for a ride through the city to hit up some good spots.

Im in. ill be in london by august 22nd hopefully, dont know alot of places to board there yet either so this should be fun. gotta map quest the location too lol

Best area for skating in London is Park Street. Check it out, there's a few runs around there.

DJM is my buddy from Sarnia here, but him and his bro will be in London for school so give them a ring. They'll be down to show you some areas. They also make boards and have like 500 set ups.

But Park street is the slide hill, off of it from King Street down to the bottom of park street is Kings Escape which is a decent bomb run (don't hit much faster than like 35-40 though) but it's goes through 2 parks so on hot days they turn this water park type thing on and u have to dodge little kids or come back at a later time.

Outside of London (if you have a car) is a town called Kilworth. It has a dirty hill that we usually ride.

There is also a street called Morningside or something which I haven't seen but have heard good things.

sweet thanks man. im going to fanshawe n am really looking forward moreso to actually having a longboard scene here. im from a small town where i dont really longboard with anyone. i got my schedual too so im free after 12 on wednesdays and thursdays till 4 n then im done on fridays at 11 or something then of course weekends. im down to skate whenever im free and its dry.

Yah, everyone rides with helmets there. They rip on you if you don't.

I'm from Sarnia, which is an hour away, but have a bunch of buddies up there, so I'll prob be down a lot. We'll mostly hit up park street, that's the place to go.

Also go to Ontario Longboarders. I think most guys in London post there more than here.
