Once again we have no bad intentions by reposting this message. We wish to include everybody in this project and hope to leave not one skater behind....so here's the deal
My name is Craig Jackson. I am part of a film crew that will be traveling from St. Johns, NFLD to Victoria BC this coming summer. We will be documenting the thriving longboard community here in Canada.
What is driving the extreme growth behind the disciplines of longboarding, slalom and DH racing? What drives us as longboarders to get on our boards despite cold, rain, sketchy pave, and cars? The stoke within this community is extremely strong and we want capture that!!!
Take a look at www.ongozacanada.com for more info on the crew, the trip and our schedule. Also sign up for a chance to WIN a free Kebbek longboard.
What we need more than anything for this to be a success are contacts all over the country. We need people to skate with, show us great hills and introduce us to their local scene. We want to film you guys skatin, talk about the industry, drink beers....and rip it up!!!
Go to www.ongozacanada.com/signup and add your contacts to our growing list and also be entered into the Free Kebbek longboard giveaway.
Without your help this film will not truly represent the Canadian scene and that would be very dissapointing.
skateboarding, in all its forms, just feels good.. its a rush or a calming ride, you can make it into either. Still it will always sort of strum a chord through you that activates the feeling of pleasure and excitement of moving over asphalt. Its also glue for crews and friends to break into a garage together or push each other through the pool or though the cones. Im currently in Quebec, but Ive been here for too little as to get a taste of the longboard scene. I'll be on the lookout. You could try and give a shout out to Coast, Silverfish and Ongoza for helping the community. Thank you and good luck!
I'm in both Edmonton and Calgary. Both have great scenes. Really good guys out here. Good idea by the way. THis movie sounds like it's going to kick ass. I can't wait to see it done. Oh and your link doesn't work.
Montreal has probably the biggest most tightly woven crew for one city.
Hopefully this time I wont miss your passing by.
