The locals showed the crowd how its done MTL STYLE! Fabrice rippin it like the good ole days! 5000+ degrees of rotation both hands down and real low! How does the road smell Fab! she must reek! you've been riding that bitch to call her yours! thats how you slide on a real longboard 40"+ and nothing shorter. F is just F!
Marc is givin'er good. He's doin things on HDV he wouldnt even do to my mom! incredible. spinning on his deck and whippin his arms all over the place! How the hell is he still standing...he's makin' me dizzy. after a few huge laybacks and flippin his board around from under his feet while he slides, he's starting to sound like WWII war plane. His wheel look like cubes to me now BBBBRRRR. One last slide before he's sliding on bearing; a classic that gets the crowd roaring. full speed down he sound like he's gonna drop the bomb! both hands on the ground backside and gets on his back wheels and start kickin the air with his front foot. He wants to win the prize for Most Gnar Shoe-laces and he shows them off to the crowd, so close to the edge! and back into a backside 360. amzing!kill those wheels bro!
Some passer-bys decide to watch the show instead of hitting some hip new yuppie bar. lets show 'em what sliding is all about!
Yann is givin all he's got! putting his hands out from a tuck, he needs as much speed as he can get to land his Darkside slide. both hands down behind him,he's got the nose up in the air. Only two wheels goin sideways now! he puts one foot off the griptape and under his deck. He's now on the steepest part of the road and BOOM! he's grinding the tail off his board! amazing to see him hold this slide all the way down. a little saw dust to go with the urethane on this asphalt. What a delicious recepie!
Brian Peck all the way from Connecticut is showing us a style we remember from last year. Habib brought us his gorilla style last year and SofaKing is bringin back! he's got a low stance. whats he gonna bring to the table? layback kneeslide! give it and take it back. right back into a pendulum and back on his board to show off some classic coleman slides for the fast landing in the bottom flat!
K-Rimes didnt want to slide today, ya dont wanna get injured before the big race day! He been sitting on the side-lines all night watchin the great show but HE CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! he grabs Brian EarthWing and shows us his fast one handed 360 and 720 frontside backside he does it all! His control is amazing. He's in his own world now, he is Zen and finally at peace with himself, it musta been hell holding yourself back for so long. i know how it feels buddy!
Adam from Ottawa has a style of his own! A real outlaw of outlaws! we had one rule and he broke it with style: with a layback helmet slide and I cant believe he didnt lose his board
NewMexico the land of ditches and the land of amazing skateparks. Brunson got his pool board under feet and pushes off as if he was racing for an Urban Assault! no gloves down the steepest road we have in Montreal WTF is he doing! STAND-UP RULES like Kludy always says. Well thats what will is doing frontside backside to scrub off a bit of speed to get right in the middle of the hill and finish off with a long stand-up pendy!
Most of us are getting tired from running up this hill. everyone is gettin a jonesin to land that one trick they didnt get all night! some newcomers discovering the hill for the first time. They giver! Coleman slides faster than they ever thought possible.pulling 360's 540's and 720's and just barely missing the back bumper and rear tire of that parked car without a mattress! some girls are coming out to get a taste of the beast head first Surrender slide into a 360! oh my god. This chick is turning me on and putting me to shame AT THE SAME TIME!
Brunson and JM Duran both have that stand-up style hardwheel or softwheel, they RIP this hill! the start betting on who can pop the longest ollie over the drop. from one crack all the way to the other one. NO WAY is Duran gonna make it, Brunson is way taller and doesnt make it, but JM doesnt know that. and we keep tellin him he cleared it easily. This got him pumped he musta popped over a dozen times to try and make it he got close, but the real show was his standup pendulums. He's soooo fast. got me hollerin' my voice away! i never saw his feet off his board when he was sliding. He's got a style similar to Sergio Yuppie with his fast rotations (and yeah; rotations with an "s" its plural cuz he kept 'em coming) this guy is sooo flow! i dont know if he's aware he's riding on hard dirty asphalt!!! but he looks like a Hawaiian Surfer slashing his fins through the a wave!
What a way to bring a session to an end! we were all ready to go to the bar and already kinda tipsy already and he's still stoked on this hill. ripping it well after everyone has called it quits
If i had a golden eagle to give away it woulda gone to JM Duran, but every slider friggin gav'er all they had! and it was a night to remember by all!
