Freddy, what the f@cking hell is your goal by posting stupid uninformed shite like that??? There's always two sides to a story. Get them both before talking out of your ass on a public forum like that. Apparently the organizers did decide to cancel the slalom race, but it has nothing to do with the lack of cooperation from the what you call "slalom guys" (I like to call everyone a skater, but that's just me). I would have never expected a moronic move like that from you. I truely don't understand. Way to go to unite the scene. You're truely doing a great job at it...

By the way, a LOT of what you call "slalom guys" are allround skaters and race in your DH events. You should stop discriminating, it's no good...

Mig, I think you just got lost in translation, Freddy's point of view to who a slalom might be different from yours.
Freddy or who ever is taking responsability of slalom at Ste-Marie deffinately needs help, Freddy isn't a "Slalomeur" He doesnt know how to set up a slalom course with all the right offsets and distancing nor can he rig up a Timetrack...

How come I never hear you get mad when you missunderstand someone while talking to them face to face?

The WHOLE race in 3 hours?????
how are you gonna do that?
if we are like at least 50 riders... 4 men heat...everybody will ahve to do a minimum of 13 heats...
13 heats per riders in 3 hours it's a minimum of 52 4men heat or 1 heat every 3 minutes and a few seconds...
Seems like kind of too short to me no?

    Also, any practice runs?

    Slide:
    1 Yann Lhermitte
    2 ben30
    3 john 101 (LBHaven)

    luge:
    1 Bob touchette
    2 tim koch
    3 Flavien Vidal

    DH
    1 ben30
    2 john 101 (LBHaven)
    3 Niko Desmarrais

Really cool spot, very short but gnarly.
I ended up doing third in street luge in front of 2 of the 3Bobs which I'm really happy about
But I screwed up really bad in DH, trying to do as many practice runs as possible, running up the hill in between my luge runs to practice in DH... I was simply EXHAUSTED and my DH runs ahdn't even start lol
Ended up being badly outpushed, crashed into and crashing all by myself and finished in the last positions in DH... no need to say how desapointed I am since it really was a run for me
Next time I'll proabably just choose between either DH or street luge, but doing both race in such a short period of time is just not possible...

But otherwise, it was a GREAT event, too short yes, but awesome anyway!
Thanks to Fred and street missile for the luge i could borrow and to Ste Marie for this awesome event!

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most are still riding around Ste Marie and coming back to Montreal today.
There was LOTS of photos and video camera so I'm guessing there will be tons of pictures.

The 1000$ ended up being shared between all the disciplines which I think was pretty cool. Not everything to stand up you know...
But yeah, concerning the officials at the starting line, that was the one thing that sucked pretty bad... One of the run I reqlly wanted to do, I really got screwed up qnd ended up staying right on the starting line while the other 2 racers jump started...
No officials, and my race was fcuked up anyway so I didnt complain to anyone...
But yeah I talked to the other 2 I was supposed to race, they told me to complain to Fred but whatever... In mind it wasnt me who should have asked for a re-run...

Other than that, and the fact that it is not possible to do luge + DH at the same time I dont have much to complain about.
    I had fun!!!!

Whatever Flavien. Good thing the money got shared between all the discipline. But still, i am seriously in doubt about the judging...

Happy for the winners, dissapointed for all the others.

    And YES i had fun.

Seriously! I have a huge respect for Yanns skills, dont get me wrong, but 4 times the same slide is not what i call a winning program (edited by me to make things clear: it would have been Marc, Ben, or me, or whomever i would have said the same thing) . And changing the rules (4 runs instead of 2) is lame. We should have got judged on the 2 best runs out of 4.

Seriously...i got a 3 point run because i bailed the last slide i did out of 5 in the same run...come on man. Thats what i call a bad call. Same for Mr Pipe. The dude had amazing runs, and still, no more than that rank.

Speaking of rankin, what was the other positions????

And the choice of judges: what the ?? Simpy (Simon Tessier) for exemple, wich was not riding due to an injury, was well more in position of judging than Quidjam and Fast Freddy.

Slide jams and contest should be judged by the group of riders. Yann came out with a wicked point system back in the days, but no one seems to be lookin at it. It was perfect.

All this said, my muscles hurts, i had a wicked time on this beautifull hill, had a great time with the brothers, but since i love this discipline, got really pissed off at the results. I love all the brothers, but it reminded me why i hated the competitions so bad.

AJ for MC for life! you did a good job bro.
