    Default Longboard Across America

    Hey!
My buddy and I are planning a trip across the United States next summer. We have just really started doing some concrete planning on the trip. We will be skating from Newport, Oregon to NYC. We will be doing it relay style skating thirty miles at a time -- doing an average of 150 miles a day. We are trying to get across the US in record time, 20 days. We will be skating an average of 11 hours a day. My little sister has Chrones disease so we decided to skate to raise money for research of the disease and will also be raising money for the Livestrong foundation. We will have an RV that we will be stationed 30 miles away from where we start skating and once we reach it, the next skater will be dropped off and the RV will be driven another 30 miles ahead. Message me if you are interested in helping out, skating, have questions, or just want to let me know what you think! Feel free to send me an email brendan.paulin@yahoomail.com

150 miles a day for 20 days straight? Jesus. I'd be down as long as I can get in the RV for flats and uphills. I'll skate 150 miles downhill . Honestly though, I'd help out anyway I could. That'd be cool. What decks are you guys planning on riding?

Haha yeah. Should be intense. Im way stoked. I forgot to post our website. SkateAcrossUSA.com We are not sure which decks we'll be riding. A large assortment of different decks. We have talked to some companies about getting some boards. We are working on getting some wheels, hardware, and more decks.

after what Serge went through this summer it sounds like 150 miles a day is a pretty huge undertaking. That's an average of 13 miles an hour for 11 hours............... YIKES......good luck guys

To the original poster: I tried getting in contact with you guys, got like 1 or two emails back and you flaked out on me. I remember there being some issues since you were supposed to do this last year...then you moved it to this summer and now its next summer

But with that being put aside, good luck and godspeed

DK: its a relay style thing so I believe the miles will be split. The maximum I found myself doing was around 50 miles per day, on a very good day, but that was with a 35-45 pound pack on
Killswitch Mini Drop Through 9/10 condition, $130+12 bucks shipping. PM ME

Seismic Blastwaves: 38 bucks, 9/10 condition. Otang Stims, 28 bucks, 8/10 condition. PM ME

Aerothrust/Speedmaster/Icaro 4-Fight/Vector M-4 Visors for Sale, 14 bucks PM ME

    Full Ceramic Bearings PM ME

Yo man, Yeah sorry. I wasn't really a part of the last summer's planning, I wasn't available to do it then. I'm working really hard to get it put together. Starting early and making some major moves forward. Thanks for the wishes man and sorry again.
