Where: We will meet in the Round Table Pizza parking lot on W Wood St./Hwy 162 in Willows, CA. It's very easy to find. It's on the east side of I-5 only a 1/10 of a mile from the exit. It's between N Villa Ave. and County Rd. H.
The Race: $10 entry fee. The first run will be the entire 12 miles, Chinese downhill style! We will then break up into 2 brackets (first half of the racers and second half of the racers) and will race smaller sections for the remainder of the race.
Please do not post the road name in the open if you know it. It's a 30-40 minute drive from the meeting spot and I promise that nobody will need to backtrack. It will be effortless to caravan there as well.
Run Details:
-The run is a full 12 miles.
-The top section is about 3 miles long and breaks 50mph.
-The middle section is about 2 miles and is mixed between mellow and 30-40mph. There is only one 20ft section that needs pushing but only if you stand up.
-The last section is about 7 miles long and stays between 45-50mph and it's packed with sweepers.
-The pavement is butter. There are only a few little pavement patches but they are easily taken with speed and actually make the run a lot more fun.
-The run starts at 4,500ft and ends at 1000ft. There are spectacular views.
PM if you are interested in the practice session on 10/3. You don't really need to go, but if you really want to ride it before hand then the 3rd is your chance.
Damn! Too bad this isn't during one of my breaks otherwise I'd hop a flight over to my condo in Tahoe and drive the 3 hours to this thing. Next time I'm in the area I gotta skate with you Nor-Cal guys.
how technically challenging is this course? I'd like to go if possible, but it's a long drive for something I may/may not be able to skate.
Cause I've been pushing for 50mph, so I "should" be able to handle the speed, and I can pendy if I can't, but would that be unacceptable in this kind of situation? I've never done a big group skate like this before.
Silverfish is not for everyone. Common side effects may include trolling, vomiting, nausea, and the 10charthingy. Tell your doctor if your rash increases or if you develop a fever while using Silverfish. Remember to ask your doctor if Silverfish is right for you.

edit: do you guys usually get rain around there this early? i'm down for rain or shine, but just wonderin
Wait, what do you mean by signs are pointing down? And that area is weird, it can be sunny here and raining there. We are supposed to get some rain with weekend, but as for the race idk. I just wanted to throw it out there so if it does rain by chance, it's still happening.

It's not very techy at all, just lots of nice turns. You'll be fine as long as you can handle the speed. You won't even have to put a hand down or grab rail.
