Arizona has had a lot of great outlaws but I want to put together a legit, closed road race down one of the gnarliest roads you've ever seen. It would be the weekend before Ditch Slap so you guys who did the Lemmon race last year could do the same thing, AZ NM CO then back to B.C.
The only problem is that we could not do hay bales and there are no guard rails. The reason is because the race section would be 15 miles long and have 26 different 180* or larger turns with many more 90* and hard sweeping turns. If you know the road please don't say it here because we may have to make it an outlaw and I don't want the cops finding out.
Would you guys be interested in a weekend-long race like this? The first day would be mostly for practice runs and there wouldn't be to many because it will probably take a half hour just to drive up it in the uhaul and then another half hour to ride down.
The second day would be race day with possibly one practice run in the beginning if anyone wanted to take it. Heats would be large to accommodate the length of the course.
So basically my questions are: If I could get this road closed would you attend? Would you without it closed? And would you feel safe racing on a course like this with no bales and no rails?
