Default East Coast Events 2008

Are there any?

I've heard rumblings about several but the only one that is officially announced so far is MCGF.

For those who are planning events...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE announce them soon. I know that I really need to start planning stuff out for this summer and knowing dates, locations and costs is essential. I'm sure the same is true for many other people.

If there aren't any I'd like to know what I'll have available for plane tickets.

I understand the desire to keep things under wraps until everything is completely finalized but it's already mid April. If we could just have some dates and locations that would be great.

Thank you

I'm in the same boat. Is Ascutney happening?
There is the freeride in Quebec, probably make my way up there.

Well Ascutney was recently announced. I'm pretty sure Vermont qualifies as East Coast.

Still waiting word on Top Challenge.

I know I'm going to MCGF and Top Challenge this year and if the Ascutney thing gets worked out all the way then I will for sure be there because there is only one road I have ever seen or know of that is more technical and intense.

I can think of some runs around here that, while short, are steep and well paved and fast as ####... no hairpins though.
Problem is they're locked roads, we'd need permits, sponsors, haybails, insurance, ambuli, etc...

And I though I had read Ascutney was announced! Where's the GSI page for it? When does reg open?

I'm waiting on Top Challenge info as well. It'd be nice for my teammate to get into bars! ahahahaaaha

The announcement for Ascutney was yanked...talked to Tim about that one and it's not a certain event anymore.

Aside from that there's Top Challenge in Montreal and MCGF in New York.

Central Park Race / EW Slide Comp shouldn't be overlooked. Fabrice's Chalet Freeride in Quebec as neuros mentioned.
