Fresh from the stokers at Rayne Longboards, a two-day freeriding event on a 2.1km descent with more than a dozen hairpins! Check this out!
Rayne Longboards is hosting the first ever freeride at Giant’s Head Park in Summerland BC. The weekend event will take place on the Canada Day long weekend June 28th and 9th, 2008. The course has 13 expert level hairpin corners and 700 vertical feet of drop, which sends riders through 2.1 km of intense riding. The course is unlike any other major event in North America! It's a narrow road and the steep drop offs alongside have, until recently, discouraged authorities from allowing riders to be on the road. Don't worry, though: event organizers have taken every precaution to ensure the safety of the course s at its best and the rumors of huge razor wire bundles at the bottom of each cliff aren't true!
you have to realize that a majority of the people who are flaming you are poor college kids who are riding equipment that is barely being held together.

what's it like crossing the border from washington to bc if you're under 18?
if someone wants to let me know then i will almost definitely be there.
If you're over 16, I'm pretty sure you can travel internationally by yourself.

you may need a signed release from your legal guardian saying you can cross the border. when i was 17 and going to and from europe my mom needed a release from my dad so they knew she wasn't stealing me.

Ya, just have your parents type up a nice formal letter saying they are aware of your travels and that it's cool with them... have them mention who you'll be traveling with, where you're coming from, where you're going, and how long you'll be there. Get a notary to sign it while both you and your parents are present and the border crossing should give you no problems.
Just don't try to bring any of that BC Bud home with ya
