Due to team difficulties the original Skate Across USA fell through, but a new trip has been started from scratch. The revised departure date on July 10, 2008. The trip will start in San Diego with the final city to be determined. We are looking for experienced skaters who can handle a three week long escapade across America. If this is something you are interested in please contact us at arimannis@gmail.com with a small bio about yourself and why you would be interested in joining us on this trip. Only contact us if you are serious about this venture and can skate close to 30 miles per day. We are looking for any and all donations for this trip with excess funds donated to cancer research. If interested in donating towards our cause click donate on the site.

Thirty miles a day is not that big of a deal. I speak from personal experience having skateboarded across America three times...1976, 1984 and 2003.
If you have a chance to make this journey, take it, you will never forget the adventure.
Two weeks before my '76 ride, two teammates had too drop out, luckily I was able to recruit two new skaters, who still regard that summer as the best summer of their lives.
Ari. one question.. WTF? you have just completely turned our back on your own team. First thing I said was to frickin email Keito (actafoo) and Taylor. Instead your just through them out of the team when I leave. Also I guess I should give everyone the reason this is really happening not your little, o the original trip fell through.
I had been planning this trip since last August, in mind that I would be able to do such a trip with no problem. Back in August I could not tell what was going to be going on that summer. It is my summer before my Senior year and the most busy of them all. I have college applications and interviews that I must deal with. I am completely unable to take 24 days out of my summer to do this trip. One of the biggest things is I am applying to the Naval Academy and I have interviews, medicals, and other tests all within the time frame of the trip. That truly is my future and my life ahead that I HAD to choose over this trip. I was not going to pull the plug on the trip and let it all go down the drain. I wanted to continue to plan and get this trip to happen. Either way I was going to revisit it next summer or during a summer in college. Now since Ari has officially pulled the plug on MY trip and has sent it down the drain, I look forward to making this trip in the next couple years. Next time I will know to not plan the trip ahead, but be sure I would actually be able to make it.
As for this trip Ari has now I dont even know how it will go but hopefully he can at least not #### over the guys who were already on the team. Come on thats pretty ####### low!
Alpha06, we have been training together, he can do 30 miles per day.
Gabe, not to start any drama but I repeatedly asked you for the emails of the other skaters, you told me your friend backed out since you were not going and you didn't send me the other skaters emails. Not only that I was not even clear on which skaters were going as you told me that you were going to get different skaters that you knew could make the trip and were more qualified. Then you back out 1 week before it was going to start without telling the other skaters it seems. Then you publicly bash me on this forum. Since the whole route has changed, as has the date and the majority of the skaters, I figured it was best to post this thread looking for new guys.
Actafool 360, I apologize if it appeared as though I screwed you over, however I was just very unclear on who was still going on the trip, your welcome to go if you can/ want to, im really excited about this, we leave July 10th from San Diego now, let me know.
OldSkateGuy thanks, yea I'm really looking forward to it, it will be a trip of a lifetime, I am glad to hear that you loved your trip.
