The famous "Tail of the Dragon" is a very popular motorcycling road known around the world. It is 11 miles and is said to have 318 curves along the way. In the friday issue of the New York Times, there was an article about the road and how it is a popular destination for tourists and bikers alike. I know Confusious Chris knows this road and perhaps has skated it, but I don't remember what he told me back when I met him. Apparently, there isn't a whole lot of money involved with going down here and staying for a couple of days.
What I want to know is who would be down to have a skate trip maybe sometime in the spring to hit this road. It is very close to Tennessee and falls right near the NC/TN border. The town is falls in, Deals Gap, has an official population of 6 people, leading me to believe that there may not be a huge precense of traffic on the road, not to mention the town is completely uncommercialized.

BUT there is a buttload of motorcycles on this road. Little Switzerland is a better choice as far as lots'o turns and low traffic. And there are a bunch of other roads in the area...

Agreed, little swiz is fun, and closer to other runs such as 181 and Big hill road.
too early to tell for now, this will go down in Spring. Maybe another NC Freeride thing. The hills down there look sick, I'm pissed I couldn't make the first one.
As for transportation, our only option is just people's cars. My dad is down to head down there in Spring some time and everyone getting there will have cars just about I assume, so we'll figure it out.

I have spring break from March 7th till march 23rd, so some time in there would be best for me during the week. Or any weekend.
