that pic is great. its all about practice, not expensive leathers and equipment.

thats not what im calling it these days.

funny you're talking about skating better than me. common theme on this site since i joined. no one on here really reminds me of how i skate. that said, i will tell you that i spied a video on coast the other day from south america. while im not as good as dude in the video at sliding a glove without the other hand on the rail, his riding reminded me of how i skate. took me way longer to get that good.

free advice, if you get to my age and have the chance to grind in nyc, do it. thats why you dont see me hanging out at lil switz and west conshocken.

yo how bout you guys all stop bickering on this thread. this is about the race. and how much fun it was. go argue somewhere else and speedy the race was awesome and if you think your better than eveyone else that was there maybe you should have showed up and proven it. it was a good well organized race. and was a pretty gnar hill. everyone had fun and you were probly sitting at home doing nothing so like i said stop telling everyone how good you are. this is a place for the people that were actually AT the race. no one carees about your opinion

So instead you hang out on the internet all day talking to the riders you say you are too good for or dont have the time to actaully go ride?

Well I'm a 24 year old construction worker who busts my back for everything I own and have huge responcibilitys hanging over my head.
But I still go out and skate with people and go to skate events because its what I love.

What are you even on this forum for???

I'm really sick of seeing the crap you have to say, because no one cares about it!
It just wastes peoples time.

Show up to an event, I've only been skating downhill for 2 years, your so commited to the sport all these years you should have no problem racing me for one of those expensive ass setups ive seen you post.

maybe if it was in the spring or summer and at a real road you would see me there.

skogging, hmm, maybe in a year or so, i tore a large muscle in my leg at the end of october and they take a bit of time to heal.

dude, you make more excuses than me, lol. First you got work, then you hurt your poor leg. I'm pretty sure most of us have either jobs or school as well.

Seriously, just shut up, theres no recovering of this for you. I'm gonna be so disappointed when i finally see you race and you suck. On top of that, your skating for all the wrong reasons if you so bent on just proving your better than everyone else.
Skate for fun, stop complaining and making excuses, and show up if you want to be taken seriously

It's not about the "kids" at all. Its about having fun and participating at a racing event which happens to be supported by some big and small skate companies who view it as being worth their time to sponsor.
