ok so i guess everyone who organizes a race in the series is part of a group of officials headed up by anthony? sounds good to me.
as of now, we only have one race in the series scheduled, mine. chances are not all of the proposed races will happen, so i dont think there will be an issue of too many races. i imagine this series will be pretty small this year, and grow as time goes on.
either way sounds like a plan to me. Are we gonna incorporate slalom or not? I think it would be cool to mix up the disiplines and have a different system for say slalom and have a grand winner at the end of who ever has the most total points.

no slalom. just DH with freerides/sliding afterwards
Well i suppose it's agreeable that Anthony, Mason and I become the first 3 officials. We'll discuss official things and keep track of points.
No HYPOTHETICAL races at hypothetical times..If you want to be a race official you need to have a SCHEDULED and appropriate location and time for a race as well as a suitable format.
unfortunately there is no interest in this area for slalom
so ours will be a dh race
sat night will be beginner race (not part of series) no points awarded
sun will be the bigger race, with a back up hill in case it gets busted
dates will be decided very soon for may
our race is a DEFINITE
just let me know what u guys expect from me as far as format

I'm down with slalom but the series is meant to be a downhill series...
And ray- while yeah the races are to be run individually, they need prior approval to be part of the series and needs to be done so ahead of time so that people traveling from further away can plan ahead.
Anthony- Kinda skate related, I'm just going to try to find a job on the west coast for the summer. Looking at seattle for now, but nothing is set in stone yet.
edit; and a tentative date for my outlaw is Saturday, April 11th. (day after good friday which would allow for people traveling from far to come in on friday)

mkay might have to do something before or after one of the NC races
it was kinda stupid of me though it is a DOWNHILL outlaw series
just wondering, what is an "appropriate hill" for a race, do we want certain speeds or certian technical difuculty?
GIVE IT UP theres nothing in raleigh to com close to comparing with the other hills that will be raced...
if anything, slalom, and maybe a slopesyle contest... if anyone would like for there to be something in raleigh, slalom most likely, pm me. i can get a road shut down for a certain date.

the sultans of speed one only has 1 difficult corner, which in the end is usually the deciding factor of the race as it does require footbraking or predrifting
Isn't there a way to set up a calender on google or something? That might be helpful. Get a couple people from each area to keep track of it. Just an idea.
This is the hill I was thinking of. It is Fairview Rd, it sarts at Oberlin and goes down to the left. It is about half a mile long, top speed so far on this hill is 45 with a light tail wind, this was not exact though as it was a follow car and not a gps, but it is 40 easy with a strong head wind. It is freshly paved and has three bends in the road.
Let me know if this is feasable. There is also a two lane bike path that is extremely technical, but not as fast or as long if you are more intrested in that. That would be a crazy good course for a race as there would be a lot of crashes and such and there is really only one "perfect" line as the last hairpin is sidewalk material
