I have a friend that I got into longboarding this past school year. This summer, he's heading to a small town right outside of Heidelberg, Germany for a school related project. Given a few conditions he has to meet, he can't take the board I gave him on the plane and shipping it out there and then back would be more trouble than it's worth.

After talking with him about it and hearing how he really wants to continue skating for the time he's in Germany, I told him I would try to help. What we talked about is that he would pick up a cheap setup in Heidelberg and would then do what I did with his current board (give it away when he was leaving Germany).

Are there any skaters on here from Heidelberg and/or does anyone know of a good shop in that city where he would be able to get a complete setup? Nothing fancy and as cheap as possible (he's not at the point where he will really notice equipment.) Any longboard but no mini, slide, or DH setups.

Thanks for the help if you know of a place where he can get one.

I'm not from Heidelberg, but from Germany, we have a good organized Forum there. I will post your Post from here in it and than let's see what happens.
Normally taking a board by Plane shouldn't be a Problem. My Dad is in the US sometimes an he "normally" get's me 1-2 setups each time

H' town has a great slalom scene.. he'll be good
