Dancing With The Stars 2
in Zwolle, The Netherlands

Due to the great success of our Longboarding event "Dancing With The Stars", long- and skateboard store "The Boardfather" has planned a sequel this month! The program will be more or less the same as the last event, but this time there will be a dancing contest.
In case of bad weather, we can chill at The Boardfather. We've got lots of longboard videos to watch, and a nice bar right next door!


Signing up for the event:

Please state "sign up + the amount of people you want to sign up" as your subject, and your name(s) and phone number(s) in an e-mail to boardfatherdance2@gmail.com.
This way, we know what to expect and can properly prepare for everyone.
Since "Dancing With The Stars" is expanding this time, we can only prepare for people that actually signed up. This doesn't mean you are not welcome when not signed in, but if you can not or have not signed up, bring your own food and drinks etc.!
Joining the BBQ, lunch etc. will cost 10 euro's p.p..
Please sign up before September 18th (Friday).


Sleep Over:

If you need a place to stay for a night, state this in the subject of your e-mail.
Please state which night(s) you want/need to sleep over in your e-mail.
Try to do this as soon as possible, so we can link you to one of the sleeping locations.
Bring your own sleeping bag etc..


The Schedule:

  • 10:00 - 13:30: Gathering at Lubeckplein
    At the south side of the train station in Zwolle, walk all the way trough the tunnel and you are practically there. A perfect square for dancing; benches, curbs, bumps etc., and a danceable/slideable bridge 150 feet/50 meters down the road.
  • 13:00 - 14:00: Lunch at The Boardfather
  • 14:00 - 14:30: Cruise to Wijthmener plas
    Nice smooth road, and there is a nice skatepark (with pool) on the way.
  • 14:30 - 16:00: Dancing and more at Wijthmener plas
    Nice roads and a smooth square for dancing.
    Next to longboarding, you can go swimming at wythmener plas and we will be taking some skimboards with us.
  • 16:00 - 17:00: Dancing Contest
  • 17:30 - 20:30: BBQ
    Plenty of time to eat, chill, swim, skate-,long- or skim-board.
  • At 20:30 our planning stops, and everyone is basically free to do whatever they want. For those interested, there will be small groups cruising back to Zwolle's trainstation.
