    Default Poland.

    Hello,
I am going to move to Krakow before christmas.
If anyone can let me know what the city is like for skating, especially longboarding, I'd appreciate it.
(Or any other info on skating in Poland...)
Anyone Polish on the Silverfish? Let me know.
    Thanks and pozdrowienia!

i'm polish... and a n00b to longboarding. I know nothing about any longboarding scene in krakow, but since i moved to UK i dont spend a lot of time in poland, so it may have changed recently. Have you tried asking on any of the polish skateboarding forums (try deskorolka.com)?

This is a professional windsurfer that I see around on Maui. Her name is Dorota Staszweska and her sailnumber is Pol 1 (Poland No. 1)

no rain here! i spoke to my mum the other day she says it's absolutely tipping down. i thought she said itr to make me happy. lovely and dry so far; skating (almost) everywhere! although it is pretty flat, the roads that are skatable are totally smooth. hazaa. in fact i'm skating back along the river after this. late night crisp air. well done Poland. i am promised minus 20 for the winter though, aaaagh.

yes! although not all of them.
when i drove through from germany the first thing i saw was some dude pulled over changing a flat tyre!

some of the roads around town are so smooth they're slippery, but also there's shite loads of damaged stuff, with humps, dips, cracks, gaps and other brokeness.
there is a really long run down a nice slope but the road is buggered... i went out to a national park the other weekend and saw a good looking hill. fairly good surface. i have yet to try it though (i'll let you know).
i'm hoping to start snow boarding this winter.

    i like krakow.
it's not longboarding paradise because it's mainly flat..!
i would like to see those luge artists one day in warsaw.

the old town is really beautiful and kasimierz has a cool vibe.
the whole place seems pretty chilled out in general, which suits me... although i am sure there are some crazy polish hiphop clubs and hard hard techno parties!
drum and bass seems to be quietly present, which is nice! (i saw a metalheadz night advertised - yay).

the history of the city is crazy. lots to learn.

i like the fact that there is a river, and there is lots of parkland too, which is a good thing in any city.

good food, pierogi can fill you up on a good budget price.
the market is large and the produce fresh.
the bugle call 'hejnal' is wicked.
lots of crows (especially circling around dusk)??!

loopy old ladies on the trams.
    err.... yeah, good city!

ask me again when i'm freezing my bollocks off and we'll see.
