I think you need to visit hurricanelongboards.blogspot.com pronto where you will be able to completely custamize a freeride dropthrough board. And it's shape and all the graphics. Goodluck!

First Garuda proto is testing right now. To remind ya'll, the basic specs are 37" x 10", tub concave and rear w, and rocker. I made the mold so the w flattens back out for the truck mounts, and hopefully all will go well.

I'm half-expecting some wonky results, but that's where the fun begins haha. I have a nice set of 50-Gunmetals (that's right Frankie they are still mine, even though you've had them for a while now) and possibly some Nershes waiting to get tested on this deck.

So the Garuda has turned out pretty well so far. I would like to get an opinion on something though. When your foot is in a freeride stance, the W has already begun to flatten out, so you just feel the end of it on the inside of your arch. But in a DH tuck it seems pretty well placed. I was thinking this would be good, because doing standies seems odd if your foot is right over the W. However, should I make the W extend more to accommodate people with a wider DH stance? Or leave it how it is, so you have W for DH, and pretty much normal concave for freeride?

Also, most boards on order are being clear coated, and awaiting a shipment of decals. Once I get those in, I'll get the boards finished up and on their way.

The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
The others- the living- are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down..bowed down. But the edge is still out there.

    That's such a sick shot.

And how far is the front and back of the w from your front foot? I have about 16" from the front of my right (front) foot to the front of my left (back) foot in a tuck. I'm 5'7" btw.

    Translation:

I personally believe the W-cave on the Garuda is well placed, but we shall see what insights are revealed by further testing. *Insert Howard Dean scream* Confucius once said...(end of text). P.S.-I am also very stoked from today's park shredding on the Jagerbomb.

The garuda met its first hills today, and it is taaaaaaastee bradahs n sistahs. The W needs a tiny adjustment back, but everything feels pretty good and solid. Max and I left feeling like our new DH decks had arrived. So, prototyping will keep on keepin on, and i think the proto-phase might be a lot quicker than usual. Everything felt real nice.

Fun fact: This board has all around Satan specs.

Indeed. The rear width was definitely prime for sliding, and the 8ply Maple held up well with little to no flex. More feedback to come later.
