Looks like it has a lot of potential - I may have to pick one up! I don't have a full-face yet.

Due to the lack of pictures of this helmet, I will offer up my personal notion of helmet porn - let me say personally that if I could look like the stig while DH'ing, I would die a happy person.

Referring to the Simpson Diamondback pictures I posted:
Practical? Far from. Low visibility (probably none in a tuck), probably heavier and bulkier than ideal.
Attractive? Not in the usual sense of the word, and yes, perhaps on the stormtrooper side of things.

But the stig is legendary, and I know that every time I see him on my screen, I think "damn, that helmet is ****ing badass", the heavily-mirrored lens contributing greatly to his mysterious persona. Plus, I think that slapped on K-Rimes it would look similarly badass, granted he's still wearing an all-white getup.

I was just trying to spice up a stale thread and (hoped to) find some fellow top gear enthusiasts... apparently 'twasn't the best idea.

actually he's not really the stig.... do you think bbc would really reveal the secret? I read an interview somewhere with one of the executives and she said keeping the stig a secret is pretty important to them.

There's actually a bunch of articles on this but bbc would never reveal the real stig. And the stigs probably played by a bunch of different people anyways. The last one to reveal themselves got fired from the show.

wow that looks A-mazing! the interior looks exactly like the interior of my dh mountain-biking full-face, but I'm sure it's MUCH lighter. Count me in!

We're not sure yet about the helmet. Our first protoype gets into Vancouver in a few days. Remember guys, this is our first prototype - it's not the production model. So it may or may not change depending on what we think when we get it.
