Some people just want to know the status of their boards. Especially when they were supposed to be done right when the builder got back from a trip. And then does not post or answer pms for days afterwards. Maybe then it would be not worth it. maybe

Bitter much? Boards from small manufacturers take time, most don't do this as their full time job. Heck, I've been waiting months for one of my custom boards (not from Arcane unfortunately, but that's not the point), I've gone a week or two at a time without any communication and I'm still stoked for it. You will get your board and then you'll be happy. Just have some patience.

Arcane, I'm not disappointing with your service at all, I was just wondering. No big rush or anything, I understand you've got a life outside of board building. I came into this process knowing the wait was lengthy. I just can't wait to get my board, I'm stoked.

that is a pm from arcane on 7/28. so my board that was pressed 2 months ago should be taking this long? You really should be minding your own business. I was also told that it would be sent out when he got home from vacation, but for 2-3 days he has not even posted in this thread, AND has yet to confirm where my order is in the scheme of things. Is it that difficult to tell me "its being painted" "i just pressed it when i told you i pressed it 2 months ago" "i forgot about your order and am just getting to it". No. Nothing but silence. I can deal with waiting. Its called shitty service when you cant answer a post in your own thread. And you have no right to tell me when or when to not be bitter. Your telling me it takes 2 months to drill/sand/paint a board? I JUST WANT SOME DAMN INFORMATION. Is that so hard?

I see no reason to keep my comments to myself. I disagree with your terrible attitude towards the builder you ordered from. You've admitted that even you don't know the full story. I don't know Arcane personally, I've never even spoken with him, but I would be willing to bet he has a job, friends, and family that all take priority over pressing, drilling, painting, finishing, packing, and shipping 10+ boards per day. Yes, it's taken him a long time to get back to you about your board, but he DID go on vacation for three weeks, which accounts for half of those two months you spoke of. Before that, there's the very real chance your board is pressed, maybe even started in paint. Now he's back and will be finishing it shortly, which is the whole reason he isn't on Silverfish 24/7 or checking his emails...because he is finishing all the boards on backorder that he has, including yours.

That's my bet, and if that's true, you should be happy he's working to get your board to you asap instead of speding tons of time responding to the many emails/PM's he gets everyday.

Can you explain how my board was pressed 2 months ago and is still not done? When arcane himself told me it would be done right after he got back. I just want to know its status. That is all.

i know the full story. As far as the paying customer is concerned, my board was supposed to be pressed 2 months ago. And it was supposed to be shipped when he got back from vacation. As a paying customer i do not expect to ask "what is the status of my board" and get back "im working on a lot of orders for you guys, updates within a week." I want to know where MY damn board is. not anyone elses. so far i have heard nothing about MY board. And that is all i need. You defending him and inflaming the argument even more makes no sense. I just want to know what is up with my board. And so far that has not happened. I dont give a damn what you think about my attitude. I was told what i was told and that is it.

Bird, I hear you man although I did address the whole non response to emails and posting thing when I got back to try and prevent this type of thing from happening.

I'm going to be busy for the next couple weeks so forgive me if my visits to the Fish are few and far between. Feel free to email me and pm me but I may not get back to them super quick.

Your board is in paint although I need a link to the image you want because the old one I have no longer works for me. I was going to shoot you a pm today about it.

Not to inflame the situation even more but I just need to say here that there is no way in hell I can give progress reports to each and every customer I have. When I first started yeah that wouldn't have been a problem but right now it would take a fair amount of time away from what needs to get done. That's why I try and supply info on whats going on as a whole in this thread.
I have at the moment about 50 boards in various stages of completion and I would love to supply all of my customers with constant up to date info of where their board is at in the line but I just can't. Sorry.

Many and I repeat many skaters out there. Are on waiting list for Kebbeks and Raynes for months. Not a peep about the wait. Arcane boards are reasonably priced, affordable. I repeat affordable in these tough economic times. With the price of every thing going up these days. Longboards are retailing for 165$ and up. Same boards. They just went up in price one day.. Perhaps it is the economy. Or perhaps it is the longboard craze and hey lets exploit it while the market is hot. We are lucky to have the smaller companies out there building speedboards. See board making for the small companies is a labor of love, I do not think they are going to rich from selling their boards. It must bring a smile to their faces when they see their boards on the quiver section or action shots in this site or even on the podium. Keep up the good work bro. Take you time. It just annoys me that you are trying to stir stuff up, jumping into an argument that does not concern you in the least bit.
